don't think formations matter that much when your centre half and left back allow teams to saunter through them like for their second today
thought we looked threatening first half but totally anonymous up front second.

He can't kick for shit though. We have 2 centre backs who wouldn't refer to themselves as 'footballers' who as such can only really turn round when they get the ball and knock it backwards. Every time that happened today, he either shanked it out of play or missed N'gog by 30 yards, gifting them possession back. Wouldn't say he was particularly brilliant today. Had he let any of the ones in he kept out I'd have been disappointed. More poor finishing from City than him pulling off worldies.Jokers in White wrote:The one positive and a think 99% would agree is that Bogdan is doing a great job in goal.Gail Platz wrote:Not sure who is happy with it but I think most fans, including me, think it's a better scoreline than we expected.the-Bowtun-Warrior wrote:happy with a 2-0 defeat ANYWHERE shows just what a state our club is in.
I'm really trying, but struggling to take the positives. A 2-0 loss isn't the end of the world, it really could come down to goal difference at the end and if we end up staying up on goal difference we can look back at this result and think thank God most of the chances City had didn't go in the net.

Do I win a prize?Manchester City are a team, that for over a year, have won every single home league game, and we came here today and more than matched them for large periods.
On a more serious note.....
Jesus fecking Christ. Mind I think hes about as bad as Lee was so there we are!But we competed today and we have to take the positives from that moving into the final 11 games of the season
Re: Wanderers v Blue Moonies...
and there's me thinking the ONE positive thing to cling onto was that you were supposed to be pretending this game wasn't happening....

I agree with Skysports, Bogdan is the best, Miyaichi is the second, and Pratley is the worst for us today.

Whereas Jussi drops it onto a sixpence let's remember (as long as said sixpence has been dropped some distance from the big green bit in front of him) Dear me!jimbo wrote: He can't kick for shit though.

Re: Wanderers v Blue Moonies...
Jaaskelainen's kicking has improved leaps and bounds in the last couple of years, while other parts of his game have declined. He's one of the more reliable in the league I'd say. Bogdan's was poor today I thought, and one of the reasons we kept giving the ball away. He wasn't helped by the fact that N'gog didn't win much, and when he did, there was no one within 30 yards of him, but his kicking still isn't that great.Bruce Rioja wrote:Whereas Jussi drops it onto a sixpence let's remember (as long as said sixpence has been dropped some distance from the big green bit in front of him) Dear me!jimbo wrote: He can't kick for shit though.

We didn't play too badly given the circumstances today. I expected a proper bloody messy sticky reaming.
Coyle is a knobhead though. The wrong team came out in the first place today and wtf was going on leaving the only substitution until there was 4 minutes to go? Stubborn twt.
That said, I dunno why but I actually now think the jammy cnt will keep us up; not through his technical nouse or our gritty team performances but because QPR, Blackburn, Wolves and Wigan will all probably be worse. Tosser will end the season smelling of roses.
I'm now going to get very, very drunk on Strongbow.

I'm assuming "the circumstances" were that we're a steaming pile of (crazy) horseshit and they are a world class footballing outfit.

We could've yeah. But we weren't; mainly thanks to Bogdan.Bruce Rioja wrote:What? Did you see the same game? We could've been five down within five minutes!CrazyHorse wrote:We didn't play too badly given the circumstances today.
Coyle put out a squad setup so bad that City's reserve women would've beaten us. City are also top of the table. Plus their bench alone was worth 100 times our squad. So yeah, given the circumstances we didn't play too badly.

Re: Wanderers v Blue Moonies...
Sorry Hoss, but only the score made it look respectable. We were utterly outplayed, out-muscled, out-paced and toyed with like bad amateurs. Bogdan was great, the rest just looked lost. Defence was a shambles, midfield couldn't get rid of the ball quick enough, mainly going backwards, and I felt sorry for N'gog just like I did with KD due to lack of support from anywhere. Hart's wonder save kept Miachi out and their first goal was a real unlucky fluke. Then again, Bogdan kept half-a-dozen out that would have reflected a truer scoreline. City played keep-ball and laughed at us for most of the second half. Most of their defence was in our half trying their luck. In short, it was worse than awful.CrazyHorse wrote:We didn't play too badly given the circumstances today. I expected a proper bloody messy sticky reaming.
Only plus now, we've got most of the millionaire lot out of the way now and we can have a go at winning the bottom five league.

I couldn't agree more. But I maintain we didn't play badly. We played badly in the Wigan game, today was nothing like that.TANGODANCER wrote:We were utterly outplayed, out-muscled, out-paced and toyed with like bad amateurs.

My only thought as to why he didn't start Muamba today was to prevent any chance of injury for the up coming games.
This is the only logical reason I can imagine. I know its far fetched but I can but hope.
Not far fetched. Bang on the money

What and go through exactly the same next season....BWFC_Insane wrote:Frankly IF we stay up then great. That's all that matters really.
Yes we need to stay up but FFS what's the point if we have only more of the same to look forward to next year under Coyle - if this is the extent of BWFC's ambitions in the foreseeable future then for me they can lock the gates and turn the fcuking lights off.
Shite football, shite players, shite manager, shite coaches, only 4 or 5 decent games out of 38, skin of the teeth survival year after year - do me a favour !
