Muamba Tribute Saturday
Started a new thread so that the other thread can continue to be used for well-wishing.
Not sure how we need to go about this or what we should do but all ideas etc can go in here.
Won't be able to take charge of it myself (working 9-5 all week) but want to contribute so hope other people can be more involved.

Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
As I've mentioned in the other thread, have sent an email to Tony asking if he has any contacts that could help sort a banner/flag or mosaic in the limited time we have.

Anyone know anybody in the BWSA?
Maybe ask if they could help as well.

Been looking online and one website quotes that they usually like 2 weeks for an order, but this can be speeded up if necessary so hopefully something can be made in time.

If we wish to show our support and solidarity for Fabrice I'd suggest simply clapping and roaring out his name when the players come on the pitch will suffice. You can bet your last two bob the TV and press will be fully in attendance and if Fabrice makes, God willing, some sort of recovery by Saturday, he'll hear it.

Something like that would be amazing, we just dont seem like the type of club who could muster up something along those lines at short notice.
Look at that briliant flag Liverpool fans made for Muamba to take to their game yesterday - they must have come up with that overnight! You see these giant club shirts like what they have at Blackburn being moved along the crowd before kick off, it would be great if the club could come up with something like that but a reverse of our shirt with Muamba's name and number on

Steve Kean has said he is happy to postpone the game if Bolton request it.
Another magnificent gesture.

Personally, I think a mosaic on the North Stand would look brilliant. It's just I wouldn't know how to go about getting it done firstly and getting it done in time.P.O.S. wrote:Annoyed Grunt wrote:As I've mentioned in the other thread, have sent an email to Tony asking if he has any contacts that could help sort a banner/flag or mosaic in the limited time we have.

Was thinking the same thing about the Real Madrid/Cahill shirts that were done at very short notice. There's obviously mechanisms in place for getting these things done quickly if you know the right people.P.O.S. wrote:Something like that would be amazing, we just dont seem like the type of club who could muster up something along those lines at short notice.Annoyed Grunt wrote:As I've mentioned in the other thread, have sent an email to Tony asking if he has any contacts that could help sort a banner/flag or mosaic in the limited time we have.

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Think it might be a good decision to postpone it. After all I wouldn't imagine a week would be long enough to get over a shock like that.
Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
We don't need owt from 'the club'
They are doing their bit and don't need distractions organising bloody sideshows
If we can't show our support by traditional means, I'd be very disappointed

Couldn't care less if this game gets postponed. I'll trade them all for good news from London.

Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
I have emailed a company to see how much it would be and if it would be possible to get a big shirt with his name on for saturday. Will let you know the response.

Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
i think we need to keep it as sort of spontaneous and basic & heartfelt as opposed to something contrived. Let's face it, the lad is still in hospital, it's all a bit uncertain, the whole nature of the tribute could change from wednesday to thursday, or from thursday to friday, not stick our heads down and start spending a week making a whole mosaic which come friday or saturday may be wholly inappropriate.

Thinking about it actually, this probably makes more sense.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:i think we need to keep it as sort of spontaneous and basic & heartfelt as opposed to something contrived.
