Owen Coyle and Phil Gartside

Post by BWFC_Insane » Mon Mar 19, 2012 10:40 am

Credit to these two men for representing our club and Fab, so well in the past few days. Must be so difficult to be treading the line of being in charge of a football club, yet being worried about a player a person and a friend.

They've been absolutely fantastic, kept everyone informed to avoid anxiety, yet kept the right amount of privacy for Fab and his family.

Seeing them both speak to the media yesterday obviously both trying to hold it together, I could only feel pride at how well we are run and represented as a club in very difficult, nay impossible situations.

Huge credit and thanks to both of them, for continuing to do the right things.

Not that I could do much but I have texted Phil Gartside this morning to offer any help I can. He has taken the time to reply with his thanks which, given everything else he's got on his plate, is a measure of the man I think.

Yep they have been magnificent.Hope they get suitable support themselves when they hit a dip which given the stress/trauma they have been thru they will.
They had Martin Allen on the radio the other day who had a similar situation with one of his players, dealt with it all and was sacked by Mandaric before he was able to take charge of the next game.mandaric must be one complete ****

Spot on BWFCi.

Both men are a credit to us, the club and most of all Fab.

Feel immensely proud of my club right now. Ive often felt a pride after a great performance or a good run of results, but this is something different and deeper - proud of the team, the club, hell even the town right now and its not often I say that

You can add Eddie Davis tothe respect list. He was on the news tonight and was a total model of professionalism in his interview.

Well said.

Gartside looked drained when he was on tv the other day. He looks like hes lost a fair bit of weight too. Not surprising given everything he has had to deal with in the last 18 months.

The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,

Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

Agree completely, including Kevin Davies there's no three people I would rather have in place speaking for the club and supporting the Muambas best they can.

He has indeed, but the weight loss is a result of his diet!

They must have felt like they've been in a golfish bowl over the last 48 hours. They've both acted with immeasurable dignity and respect.

Interesting piece, but what's he on about here? What on earth has Coyle's handling of a medical emergency got to do with his handling of sporting matters earlier on in the season?

Whatever fate befalls Bolton this season, and the feeling endures that they could be acquiring the quickening resolve (as well as players like Rio Miyaichi) to scrap their way out of the relegation basement, Coyle’s reputation has been enhanced. His critics have been scattered.
No mate, his critics, like Coyle himself, have just got bigger things to worry about.

The football side of things have nowt to do with this, most of us even Coyle's biggest critics thought him to be a decent person.

Throughout any criticism of his managerial decisions ... not least not using Moo properly .... no-one has questioned the guy being a nice human being. He patently is. He's proven it this week, if it ever needed proving.

Yes totally agree with all this. These last three days I've been proud that he's our manager not something I've felt for a while.
