Somebody, somewhere, but I've lost the thread [pun intended] said Cup replay next Tuesday.

Purely from a football point of view, we hopefully should be fired up and the pressure's off the Dingles a bit so it's not a bad time to play them. 3 points is a must.
What a hero, What a man...... Ooooh, what a bad foul...

I've always wondered why Blackburn fans were called Dingles. Is it from one of them ^ or from some'at else?

Is Emmerdale set in Blackburn then?

Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
I think its extrapolated from one of the dingles wearing a Burnley shirt on the show. But, as Blackburn is just a small town in Burnley anyway, they're just logically dingles too.The Axman wrote:Right, I see.Gary the Enfield wrote:The Axman wrote:Dingle: a small wooded dellAndy Waller wrote:Purely from a football point of view, we hopefully should be fired up and the pressure's off the Dingles a bit so it's not a bad time to play them. 3 points is a must.

I think we have come late to the party on this one... Dingles is what Blackburn folk call Burnley folk (at least that was the common understanding when I lived in Burnley...)

Tickets surely will go fast for this one now. I'd hope so.
Me and Dartisan are driving up from London for it. Just bought tickets now - couldn't get two together in the cheap seats (the petrol means we're investing enough in this game already!).
Hope the place is packed. Anyone have any links to the ticket office and know if it's likely to sell out?

That is quite correct Bish due to the claret 'n' boo Shyte at the cobbled end of the M65 being perilously close to the white rose county.
A hard fought game in the spirit of Clayton and Lofthouse and a (spectacular as ever when we meet) 1-1 draw. All 5,000 allocation this end sold
