A hats off to the paramedics who performed CPR on him. They undoubtedly saved his life. Bloody hard work and all. Buy those guys a pint.
Here I stand foot in hand...talkin to my wall....I'm not quite right at all...am I?

Can't say how chuffed I am about Moo's miraculous recovery - don't know (and don't really care) how it happened - just so glad it did. One thing puzzles me though - do the doctors always carry on trying to resuscitate people for more than 80 minutes? I had assumed they would stop much sooner than that.

Believe they do as long as there's still uncoordinated electrical activity in the heart, the idea of the defib as I understand it is to stop all that so the natural electrical rhythm can begin again (drugs help here too)Bruno3 wrote:Can't say how chuffed I am about Moo's miraculous recovery - don't know (and don't really care) how it happened - just so glad it did. On the telly they use the defib when the patient is flatlining but that's not the way it works in practice I believe
Bear in mind I'm just a layman.

I spoke to a nurse yesterday who told me she has seen CPR continue for 4.5 hours with 8 people taking turns to do it.

I spoke to one yesterday who said she'd never seen anything like it..
In fairness, she wasn't actually a nurse... Just a prostitute dressed like one.
The whole conversation was a bit of a turn off to be honest

Working from home, fortunately.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Hoping the good news continues. The lack of news is good news at this point I suspect.
Will say that I prayed an awful lot more than usual these past days.
