Well! but for some daft arsed team and tactics selection by our manager we would be comfortable mid table by now, fixture list or no fixture list!

We've thrown points away thats for sure. No point looking back now. We all have to just pull together and do the very best we can to try and rescue ourselves from this position.Hoboh wrote:Well! but for some daft arsed team and tactics selection by our manager we would be comfortable mid table by now, fixture list or no fixture list!
Whether we can or not remains to be seen, but we can give it a damn good try.
It feels like the football gods or fates are against us. Lets fooking fight em I say.
Muamba has shown us all that we should never give up with anything.

These. It's a huge game, because of the events of Saturday but also because of last night's win for QPR, which in bald terms takes them out of the drop zone but in psychological terms takes them out of their terrible run. Another home defeat and they might have lost all belief - certainly some of their fans already had, judging to those I've spoken to down here. Now it's back on.BWFC_Insane wrote:We've thrown points away thats for sure. No point looking back now. Blackburn's win over Slumberland puts them currently far away enough to make it either us or QPR - and that's assuming Wolves and Wiggin don't suddenly improve. Saturday is the best chance we'll get of keeping our odds up. We can't be happy with a draw; imagine the table if we hadn't beaten QPR. These games are our best chance of staying up, and the awful number of defeats this season means we need wins, not settling for draws. We can't tw@t on about difficult fixture runs then settle for one point in vital home games against one of the worst sides in the league.
That's not to say we should go 4-4-2. Without Muamba we need the extra midfielder even more, and it works as a four-man offensive unit if Mavies and Pratley alternate their attacking runs. Keep Klas in reserve on the bench for if we need to go more expansive, but don't surrender the midfield from the off by undermanning it.
Win it for each other. Win it for our top-flight future. Win it for the extended Bolton family, which - whether you like it, welcome it, suspect or sneer about it - has grown over the last week.
Come on, Trotters.

Cheer up folks. You think this is over yet? It's far from over.

Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
Still dont fancy QPR's run-in much, so if we can keep a pace with them & Blackburn by beating Blackburn this weekend then nothing has really changed from last week, despite that pathetic scousers effort last night.
Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
hmmmm.... except that should we win - even then we haven't put any daylight between us and the rest - which was the hope attached to these fixtures!!!ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Still dont fancy QPR's run-in much, so if we can keep a pace with them & Blackburn by beating Blackburn this weekend then nothing has really changed from last week, despite that pathetic scousers effort last night.

Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
I think it's going to take time for everyone to get last Saturday out of their system, and with that I think it's going to affect our run-in dramatically.

Thoughts on Ream in front of the back 4? He can pass and looks Comfortable on the ball something Prats looks...well.....not!

au contraire - leave Wolves & Wigan floundering behind then it's a straight bitch fight between us, Blackburn & QPR, and guess who has the hardest run-in...thebish wrote:hmmmm.... except that should we win - even then we haven't put any daylight between us and the rest - which was the hope attached to these fixtures!!!ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Still dont fancy QPR's run-in much, so if we can keep a pace with them & Blackburn by beating Blackburn this weekend then nothing has really changed from last week, despite that pathetic scousers effort last night.

Might be an idea. If there are any knock downs, at least Klasnic doesn't think twice about thumping 'em.Dwight Schrute wrote:Not for me.

Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
Not this weekend. Not at home to a team we should beat if we have any expectation of staying up. Not without trying him there in some pretty stringent training sessions and closed-door friendlies.m_taylor wrote:Thoughts on Ream in front of the back 4? And let's not forget, that would also reunite Wheater and Knight. Careful.

So would we all, but the realism is that its going down to the wire, and most probably always was. Never going to happen that three clubs would do so badly that Bolton and Blackburn could leave them floundering. As I've said all along forget about what others do. To stay up we're more than likely going to need 35 points. Forget other clubs fixtures, you can get strange results come the end of the season (Sunderland for example are sending out a reserve team at the weekend as they concentrate on the cup, more than likely another QPR win or at least a point). We need to get to 35 points and if we do we'll have a chance.thebish wrote:aye - but I'd have preferred to leave wolves, wiggin AND QPR floundering and NOT have the bitch fight!!ohjimmyjimmy wrote:au contraire - leave Wolves & Wigan floundering behind then it's a straight bitch fight between us, Blackburn & QPR, and guess who has the hardest run-in...thebish wrote:hmmmm.... except that should we win - even then we haven't put any daylight between us and the rest - which was the hope attached to these fixtures!!!ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Still dont fancy QPR's run-in much, so if we can keep a pace with them & Blackburn by beating Blackburn this weekend then nothing has really changed from last week, despite that pathetic scousers effort last night.

Total "kill" factor needed Saturday. Everything out of heads except winning and surviving. Look forward. Thought for Friday:

Today is still a mystery,
But what a day it's going to be tomorrow"
