Obviously, having the home-town-crowd-pleaser Webb as the man in the middle doesn't exactly help, but still.
Wow. Just wow. What game were you watching?
I thought Webb a) Didn't have much he could have got wrong and b) generally got all the calls right...Yeah Modric milked him for one, but how many times do both sides manage that over 90 mins?

Second best by a country mile, not much to grumble about to be honest.

Good luck for the semi-final.

Bet you he isn't though !!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Bogdan was immense, but happy with Boyata, Alonso, Reo Coker and Ricketts as well. Rest of em were anonymous.

Another injury as well...I'd still avoid 442, we looked abysmal when we went back to it tonight. Who knows though - it may have been a step too far to play there again so soon. Like I said though, first half Spurs were great but we defended really well....fell apart second half though.

Onwards to Saturday. FA Cup can feck off big time though now, fed up with it.

You were happy with Alonso's performance?! I thought he looked abysmal. Slowest player on the pitch, couldn't pass, couldn't tackle, constantly out of position. Bogdan was awesome. Boyata, Coker, and Ricketts were decent. Did Mark Davies touch the ball? Ryo wasn't in the game. Eagles – meh. Knight – shite.

Thought Boyata was very good tonight, not a lot learnt tho. klasnic cant start, Eagles is toss, alonso lacks pace(and aint gonna get quicker) Did we have a midfield today? Oh and what did Tuncay do wrong? Always looks ok to me so why was he given two games against two big teams then binned. He'sa at least a billion times more talented and more commited than Lead Seagull.
Midfield what's one of them :conf:

If Pratley is out for the season i would put Tuncay in centre midfield in his place.
Agree with you both re: midfield.

Struggling to think of a replacement for Pratters. If it's a big team it should be Ream as a CDM. Smaller team and yeah, go for Tunners.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Got to agree, for me only Bogdan, Rickets and Reo Coker can hold their heads up high, Boyata, Knight, Ream, and M Davies were Ok, Alonso, Eagles, Klasnic were awful but for me the worst player was Myachi by far, compared to Saturday he was non existant.

He was very bad. Just because we have someone even worse on the books shouldn't mean he wasn't bad! He was out of position so many times I lost count. No wonder they kept attacking down that side.

I thought Alonso was very very poor too. Out of position too often, gave the ball away too many, got beaten for pace plenty and hit tackling was none too hot (although given the combination of the other three, I'm not sure he made too many)...

Not quite ready to write him off though as he's been out injured for weeks.

Yeah i thought alonso was alright. 3 out of the back 4 defended where others left them woefully exposed tonight.

Eagles, whilst he didn't give up was shit. Myaichi was abysmal. Young lads though, maybe not the right night for 'em. I'm not going to judge anyone off tonight. Except Knight. Another shocker from him, hopefully the last time he is seen in a bolton shirt.

I wouldn't write him off too, i want the same Alonso that played ever so well against Blackburn in december before he got that broken foot.

Maybe the loss of pratley means we just need to bite the bullet and retry 442

every time i see him he always looks so clumsy and gangly

bar obviously the blackburn game but to be honest rovers had midfielders playing in defence plus a few reserves thrown in for good measure so i wouldt get your hopes up he wont be are Gareth bale

not to mention he will be sewing mail bags soon and quite right too

Its all about Wolves now.

Macclesfield and Millwall were great trips in this competition so Im glad I had the chance to do those, and Im also fairly glad I didnt have to contend with shelling out for Wembley again in amongst trips to Wolves, Newcastle and Sunderland. Good luck also to Spurs who are very decent on the pitch and their fans deserve a good day out off it for the humility theyve shown us recently.

Wont lose any sleep over tonight, Saturday is the problem now.

Thought the spirit, the shape, trying to play and work rate / effort were encouraging..
They're fourth and have pace to burn throughout the team, we're fourth bottom can barely raise a spit, can't buy a goal and we've nearly run out of midfield!
We could have got done 8 nil there in the league with our best team out.. Cahill sending off and all..
So we were never going to get owt [imv]
If we work that hard against similar quality teams to us and maintain the discipline we can pick some points up ..
we're not going to play Spurs every week.. she'll be reet..
Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham
