Is that how it went? I'll have to watch again. Way I saw it, but for Bogdan it could have been 5-0 at half-time. We were outclassed. Painful to admit, but it's the truth.Yes, most tried but the facts tell the tale. At one stage, Spurs 17 attempts on goal, Bolton 1. As for whoever asked Why KD; it was pretty obvious. Our midfield were being snuffed out, wide lads getting no joy and Klasnic making no real impact (although he did try). They reduced us to long ball and Spurs defence were hoovering everything up. Coyle put Davies on to try and win something for Klasnic to feed off. For the short time he was on we did look better but it was way too late by then. Best team won and good luck to them.newboy wrote:We've held one of the best attacking teams in the league for almost 80 minutes I would say it's a vast improvements from some of the capitulations I've witnessed Boggers played a blinder against best forwards in the premiership.

"Harry Hotspur" definitely doesn't speak for 99% of Spur's fans. We all agreed at the game tonight, if we lost tonight, we'd hope you went all the way, and won the trophy, and that we told some Bolton fans, shaking hands, outside the stadium we hope you stay up. It was a great atmosphere at the game tonight, and they'll always be a mutual respect between the two clubs. Don't let a FOOL like "Harry Hotspur" make you feel any different....I don't know what planet he lives on, but it would be a real shame if one Spurs fan FOOL with a blog....dirtied your thoughts of us as a club and fans!!
All the best, and huge respect to you as a club, and as supporters.... Bolton fans!!!

Anyone else think we'd have a better chance to score with a five man midfield when they went 4-4-2? It may seem counterintuitive but I would have kept the same shape after they scored. Regardless we got fecking cocked.
I don't know who we can play in midfield now but we've got to stick with this formation. 4-4-2 is such a huge gamble the way we play it. I'd grind out some points with Tuncay or Eagles in there rather than playing Reo/Davies on their own. And for those saying we should play Ream in centre mid they clearly didn't see the Man City game. Fish out of water. Keep him at centre back. Boyata looked decent tonight at centre back. Might move him up ahead of Knight in the pecking order. I hope so at least.

Just saw the highlights and looked like Spurs v Bogdan. Then one mistake from him and we were 1-0 down.
Completely outplayed, but oh well.

I thought we should've gone to 4-4-2 a little bit earlier. We had absolutely no outball. Klasnic didn't run the channels whatsoever and we made it so easy for the full-backs to play high up the pitch.
Because of Klasnic's lack of workrate and his immobility, they practicall played a 2-5-3 formation and pummeled us into oblivion.

Alright it was spurs away and our wide players were exceptionally shit, but i cant see klasnic being used up top on his own again.

Fair play to you, Fella. We were well and truly dicked last night by a far superior side. Had we had Shaggy in the nets you'd have won by 10. I'm quite sure that the memory of the incredible level of humility, friendship and concern posted by Spurs fans over the last 10 days or so isn't about to be sullied by some wanker with a keyboard and a bottle of Scotch, and will forever be noted and appreciated by all of us. Now go and win it.Makkaveli wrote:"Harry Hotspur" definitely doesn't speak for 99% of Spur's fans. I think most are being quite kind in accepting what seems to be an expected routing; and thats what it was, it was Men vs Boys.
Yes Spurs are a good side and move it around very well, and at pace. Yes, there may have been some (parts of) minds on the events of 10 days ago and of the intervening period.
But the gulf between the 2 sides was immense, and apart from a flurry of possession in the first 5 minutes we were unable to string 2 passes together in the 74 minutes before they scored.
But what I can't accept is that as soon as they have scored we start to get the ball and keep it, so why couldn't we do that for some of the first 74 minutes. If we expected to lose then I see no reason why we couldn't "have a go". We certainly appeared to give as good as we got in the first encounter.
With the same tactics against Wolves we will quite rightly get stuffed.
Or am I being too harsh?

Get decent seats, Fella. Think mine were £45 last year. I had a wonderful view of our absolute dicking by Stoke!TTID wrote:

In the CC final vs Man U i was in the VERY back row & the FA semi vs Pompey i was about 5 rows from the back. You are there more for the atmosphere than to actually see the game!Bruce Rioja wrote:Get decent seats, Fella. Think mine were £45 last year. I have only ever seen us beat CFC at the new Wembley.... lost the other three times! (one was a friendly vs Celtic)

it'd be unbearable for you for spurs to win silverware, wouldn't it!Gooner Girl wrote:Hope you get stuffedTTID wrote:In the CC final vs Man U i was in the VERY back row & the FA semi vs Pompey i was about 5 rows from the back.
