Claims crosses with more regularity and conviction than Mr Experience sat on the bench

indeed!! he was under serious unprotected bombardment last night - and he dealt very confidently with numerous crosses and corners...boltonboris wrote:Claims crosses with more regularity and conviction than Mr Experience sat on the bench
one going in eventually was inevitable...
I just wish it had happened earlier on so that hope didn't start to settle in!

He threatened to chuck the Blackburn game several times.
Obviously a tremendous talent, but lots to learn. He could yet cost us on crosses/corners/set pieces!
But he's very suspect on crosses and set pieces especially on decision making.
Just advising a bit of caution for the crucial games coming up.
Agreed that he catches more crosses than Jussi, but then Bogdan comes for just about everything which is part of the problem.
Ultimately he'll be judged on reliability not the ability to make a string of saves, then wander underneath the ball for a corner.....
Not criticising the lad, he looks top draw potentially. Just worried about him for the massive games coming up. Lot riding on him really. Mind best way to learn I guess......

Re: Adam Bogdan
What absolute bollocks. He dropped it twice against Blackburn, but at least he came for the fecking thing and took it away from whoever was waiting for it, who, can expect it to drop to their feet when Jaaskelainen's stood glued to his line, shaking like a shitting dog!. And anyone that blames Bogdan for the first goal last night clearly doesn't know what on earth they're on about. The boy was immense.BWFC_Insane wrote: He's superb until he has to catch a cross, or deal with a corner, then he's like a bit clueless and should he make the mistake he made with Spurs' first goal last night in a crucial relegation game (especially if without the string of saves before it) he'll be crucified.

a) get to it.
b) catch it (or punch it).
I like Bogdan, season start I was saying he was a more than able backup, and its proved he's made a step up from there.
He just needs to be careful with trying to come for every single ball. The alarm bells are ringing in my head over it is all. And I've not suggested putting Jussi back in either!
Re: Adam Bogdan
Then what are you suggesting or are you just alarming yourself as usual?

Re: Adam Bogdan
I'dbe happy to see him keep coming for as many as he can.Course he'll spill the odd one and feck up occasionally but at least his defenders know what to expect and that has to be a big plus.If he doesnt take the risk of coming for crosses how the hell will he learn to command his area like the best keepers do. Jussi never really cracked that but Bogdan potentially canthebish wrote:indeed!! he was under serious unprotected bombardment last night - and he dealt very confidently with numerous crosses and corners...boltonboris wrote:Claims crosses with more regularity and conviction than Mr Experience sat on the bench

He is mightily Ginger, though. He needs to tone it down so that he slips past the peripheral vision of oncoming attackers.

Mind you, having said that, I seem to recall that the mighty Torres was once blonde and then turned raven-headed at the very same time he began to not hit barn doors at three paces. Maybe a progressive Ginger to Black Just For Men regime, see how it goes!

Well, it's to be hoped he has a say in the Goalie's shirt design for next season as Orange is not good with that hair, but the cerise is an abonomation.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:I like it...Oi Ginger, tone down your Gingerness!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Is 'Cerise' a colour? And if so, how do you know?

To paraphrase - 'Cerise' and 'man's shirt' don't actually belong in the same sentence now, do they?bobo the clown wrote:"Cerise : a deep to vivid pinkish red".Bruce Rioja wrote:Is 'Cerise' a colour? And if so, how do you know?
