West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

To be fair they are third having spent a fortune in relative terms for that division and having by a long long way the biggest wage bill in the division.

They are underperforming. And looked pretty woeful against Boro.

I can see from a West Ham's fan pov why they'd want to sack him.......

Aye, its just like Megson at Wednesday really.

I listened to about 20m of it. Amazing. They are such tossers.

Looks like they'll bin him as soon as possible though.

It's interesting though that they are where they are with a vastly overpaid bunch of players who would struggle to hold down regular places in ANY Prem team. So if they do go up these will be sidelined and new ones sought. None will want to exit & no-one will take them on their current wages .... meanwhile the new ones will add to their debt.

If they DON'T go up, they are royally bggrd as income & parachute payments reduce.

I'd be happier if they were 8th or 9th, but either way they are in a mess.

Shame really.

Where else will Knight go next season ??

A bit, if you want to take that argument.

But the Wednesday fans didn't want him sacked, and he took em from the bottom half of the division when he took over to third a year later. So there are differences.

Fwiw I don't think either Allardyce or Megson deserve/d to be sack/ed.

I can see the West Ham fans point of view. Was frightening seeing some of their players look as out of shape as they do, Faye, I'm looking at you. And he's created a side that may be functional, but is as slow, one paced and predictable as you'll see.

But if he takes them up then it's job done, and I'd still back him to do that.

If he doesn't come the end of the season, then I can't see him keeping his job anyways.

I didn't see it. So are they truly unfit ?? That wouldn't be the norm for Sam, though I suppose he did let Nobby lose fitness somewhat.

Faye, tbf, is no spring chicken. Loved him & regret that he was stolen up to Newcastle. But he wasn't getting games at Stoke much last year & must be close to the end of a good career. 34 last month, so he's on the cusp I suppose.

I don't ever remember West Ham playing the type of football they like to say they're associated with.

With Allardyce we know it's going to be dry at times but I think their conceding last minute equalisers is more the frustration. Also when you have it in your head that you're just watching long ball you'll start sighing at goal kicks which are played long.

From what I've seen they are just lumping it up at Carlton Cole constantly.

What they will be more bothered at is being third when their wages, and spending budget dwarfs the rest of the division!

I remember when they used to lump it long to Hartson for the knock-down to Kitson, whilst Julian Dicks twatted anyone within sight of their 18 yard box. Which when done by good 'ol 'arry is Total Football.

Academy of football my arse.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has defended his side's recent displays after his own supporters chanted about the side's style of football.
The Hammers boss vowed to play "the West Ham way" when he took over in June but fans have voiced their displeasure at what they see as direct tactics.
Supporters at the 2-0 win at Peterbrough were heard singing, 'We're West Ham United, we play on the floor'.
But Allardyce said: "I'm sick of all that rubbish."

The victory cemented West Ham's position in third and closed the gap on second-placed Reading, who the Hammers entertain at Upton Park on Saturday.
Allardyce has been on the receiving end of vocal criticism from fans in previous home matches, something he says he has found surprising.
"I think we've lost three at home all season so I don't know why they [the fans] are not harmonious - you'll have to ask the fans that," he added to BBC London 94.9.
"Perhaps their expectations are too much and they're getting a bit carried away, I don't know.
"The pressure is on us like it is every week. We have more pressure on us than anyone else, but we have to live with that and deliver, and today we did. Let's hope we do on Saturday."
The Iron have not lost since a 5-1 defeat at Ipswich Town on 31 January but a run of five consecutive draws, prior to the win over Peterborough, has seen them lose pace with leaders Southampton.
Despite the winless run Allardyce was keen to point out the encouraging performances his side have put in.
"I looked at the facts, and the facts are that at Burnley we've out-played them, out-passed them, away from home, and all the other six teams recently we've done exactly the same, that we've drawn against.
"The only team we didn't outplay was Southampton with 10 men recently, and that's probably eight games ago."
Allardyce's sides have previously attracted criticism over their style of play and the 57-year-old blamed the media and his previous team's successes for the criticism of his tactics.
"It didn't start off from there though [the media] - it started off from other managers many years ago, because they got jealous because I kept beating them.
"It's there and I just have to carry on, I don't let it affect me personally, I just know what's good for the players at West Ham, I know what's good for West Ham as a football club, and I know how to win football matches."
He won't be there much longer.

If you get bored at all this weekend a quick visit to KUMB should be fun.
