Or was it 1909?

Anyway, speaking of bogeys, I was one for the Wanderers away from home. The first away victory I saw was at QPR, either '99 or 2000. That was after about 40-odd away games.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

[I know, i know, but my wife and daughter are both away, i've finished The Observer and it's a slow Sunday]...

So, examining the historical record, and calculating the difference between victories and defeat, it looks like our top ten bogeys are:

Everton -33
Derby - 18
Liverpool -17
Arsenal -16
Chelsea -13
FRS -11
Newcastle - 10
Sunderland - 10
Sheff Wed -9
Bristol C -8

Feckin Everton...
Everton are the only current Prem team that have a better record - all years not just the Prem - at our home ground (Bok and Burnden) than we do.

Well saying only current Prem team - I probably didn't have QPR, Norwich ans Swansea checked out...
Since this has been a regular fixture since the first season of the Football League, probably goes back to Pikes Lane as well.. . bastards have been beating us for 130 years...

I actually realise now that this is complete bollox, as I'd seen us win in the cup away a couple of times. It may have been league games. I remember keeping a count back then. You know, back when football was played by real men, watched by real fans at a real ground, when we were poor but happy etc etc etc. My memeory is not what it used to be.

Have you got Tourettes?
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.
