We are lacking quality but at least the fight from the players is very much there.
An important point? Love to have some of whatever it is you're drinking.
Better than no points.. so yeah i would also say a important point which could be the difference come the end of the season.
Can you just explain, given we can't beat Fulham or Swansea, where the three wins we are going to need as a minimum will come from?
Apologies Mr negative.. football doesn't work on the fact that you must beat team A to get anything from team B or C.. anything can happen from game to game.. you might have given up but i certainly have not..

Villa is more than winnable.. spurs are playing shite .. Sunderland also playing shite and look like they are already on the beach.. We have beaten Stoke already.. West Brom are hardly smashing teams left right and center..

There is no law that says because we lost to a good Swansea and Fulham team that we won't get anything from our remaining games.

It wasn't that bad, we drew

Totally ignoring the doom mongers, have to think of that as a battling draw, (Swansea won't see it that way) and the problems remain, biggest one being our inability to score. I like Bogdan a lot, and can't blame him for the team, but I get the nervy feeling he could have done better with Dempsey's free kick against Fulham and their goal today. There was only one place it was going. That alone would have been four points better off. Not many positives to take away and the nerve battle goes on. Still get the feeling that some refs, Dowd not the least, like to see defenders kick lumps out of KD and let it go. Swans denied us space everywhere and we gave them so much in the middle it was frightening. I've seen smaller areas in Knowsley Park. They played well enough and will think themselves very unlucky. Kamikaze, rather than Intelligence Core, defending got us the point. Ah well, a point is a point, on with the next cup final.

8) I don't think today was down to the ref... and - what is more of a problem than KD not being awarded free kicks is the fact that KD is now a bit of a stump, and despite Ngog's lack of goalscoring teeth - I'd STILL prefer Ngog to start over KD...

Half asleep for the first ten minutes....half asleep for the first half an hour of the second half...dubai...on the beach...owen coyles team talks :wtf:?

You can't however fault the effort today. That set of players gave it their all. Unfortunately that set of players is a championship side. We've had bad luck, an amazing array of injuries, sold our best player, its all pointing one way folks. The galling thing is when you compare prices paid, £9m of our signings on the bench...Swanse's side probably didn't cost that. Wages wise we will be higher as well no doubt, even allowing for the wages we've got on the treatment table.

Decent side Swansea, no fecking about they murdered us and should have done the double over us like Norwich et al. Teams like us were the ones we preyed on when we first came up. Mixture of players not quite good enough and ones who thought they were better than they are.

Would I change the starting XI for Villa? Nope. Will it be enough to get the win? Nope.

Rebuilding job needed, and unfortunately it looks like it is going to be done from the championship. Hopefully we can consolidate and do it sensibly like Reading seem to.

No complaints today, no billy big bollocks striding round sacking it off like against Fulham, just a collection of players who are the second worst in the league. I'm not gutted or owt like that as I can't fault one of those players for not trying - Steinssons blocks, Eagles making tackles in midfield,Nigel beating players, Ngog not shooting. Tactcis and substitutions - no issues with them. We should of made more of our set pieces but thats clearly something Coyle and his crew are incapable of working on in training, so thats down to Gartside - hire someone who is competent at sorting our free kicks and corners out or stick with it. To a man the players don't have what it takes in my view - but as long as they give their all like today I won't have a problem with them. The fella who spent all that cash on them...another story.

No issue with ref or owt today either...nice to see a competent lino in front of the EL...? ;-)

3 wingers ... followed by a period of 4-4-2 with both Davies & N'gog at the same time. You may as well play 2 keepers. St. Owen's selections get more hysterical by the week.

The amazing injury/illness list is bad luck ... though we've previously debated whether they get the best treatment once it occurs. However ; -

The lack of organisation is down to the manager & the coaching.
The lack of fitness compared with our rivals is down to our manager & coaches.
The lack of ideas ... ditto.
The poor selection is down to the manager.

The lack of aggression & fight is a combination of manager/coaching and the players themeselves.

... and we are told that OC's staying "no matter what".

"I am dee-pressed"
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

... oh, & the New Barcelona ?? Only in that they dived & flopped about so damn much every time a player went anywhere near them.

KD did ok today. Playing him as a withdrawn forward at times was bizarre.

NGog is useless sadly.

ngog did ok when he came on.

his main problem is he just isn't a goalscorer. which is quite a big one really considering he's a striker. :(

If that's the case then they must just be 'very unfit', because for most of the 2nd half the entire Bolton midfield just strolled back leaving the Swansea central midfielders totally free - most Swansea attacks in the 2nd half came through central midfield with 4 or 5 of their players running against our back four without a Bolton midfielder in sight.

We looked knackered from the start of the 2nd half - and that's after a two week break with 'so called' warm weather training

They cant be in 2 places at once, they had to push forward for a goal.

Swansea's players might have been quicker, mind.

Have said this all season. I'm convinced that they're nowhere near as fit as other sides. Said it last year too, especially after seeing pieboy Dunne lick Matty Taylor for pace. Where, exactly, are we setting the bar on this right now?

usually responding to the times-without-number that you have suggested that our woes are down to the ref not giving KD enough fouls...

A totally undeserved point.

Swansea were a really attractive side, pass and move, pace, trickery and a very welcome inability to turn massive superiority into victory.

Peter Thompson totally wrong - not for the first time - on Chris Eagles who had a good claim on motm.

First half we competed, and pushed them for at least the last 20 mins.

Second half we did not turn up. Dreadful.

The QPR result... It just got very difficult... :(

F*ck me we're shite. At this present time we deserve to go down. T'other teams around us are having a go and getting the results, fair play to them.
That Villa game (is it this week?) is crucial.

Aye. If we don't win that we're doomed
