Re: Wanderers v Swans
From what I heard from the commentary on GMR, we stole a point against a team who have been consistently good all season. It's not a disaster- we needed 4 points out of today's game and Tuesday. To stay up, we need all 3 points at Villa. Anything less and it's game over.

I'm actually positive that we got a draw from a game we didn't deserve anything in.
Maybe that's a turning point. Time will tell.

last time we drew 1-1 against a team we "should beat" we went on a bit of a point gathering spree (Wolves NYD)

Anyone unfortunate enough to sit near me knows I am no Eagles fan but he was our main goal threat today and I would have picked him as MOM
I cant imagine how bad Sordell looks in training if Ngog is more of a goal threat than he is

He scored and had our only shot in the second half!
I dont think he is amazing but thems the facts. people wank over mark davies but i bet eagles has had a hand in more goals this season.

Nonsense. Scored. Worked hard throughout. Got on a central midfielder's job with real effort and effect - feckin superman compared to Mark Davies... Between him and NRC for Bolton's Motm...Jez wrote:Really? Re: Wanderers v Swans
Eagles did ok,at least he looks to have a shot and get into decent positions. 2nd half he was as bad as anyone for giving them the ball back. He did look our best goal threat.Trying to chase a game by putting NGog upfront with KD,hahahahahahahahahahh.
Both do a certain kind of a job but it doesnt really involve scoring.Klasnic looked useful for his 10 mins but really is that the best tactic we have? Kick it into their box and hope it drops for Klasnic. Sordell, Tuncay well not worth mentioning is it. "Coyle has his favourites" as someone recently said.
Oh and bad news, my score predicter thing included QPR drawing today so now we've had it.

I can't see us winning another game all season, we are truly awful and deserve to go down after a shocking season.
Owen has one more season to get things sorted, he's reducing the wage bill and replacing the older players. This term he's failed, but he deserves one more, if only because he's one of 'ours'.
There's always Burnley away next year to look forward too![]()

you were doing so well until that last bit. Eagles was by a country mile our best player today.if you'd swapped Siggurdson for Eagles - Siggurdson would have looked a mug and Eagles a world beater.William the White wrote:Nonsense. Scored. Last week Pratley, NRC and MD were matched by a midfield two of Cabaye and Perch (ffs!) and yesterday a midfield two of MD and NRC were completely outclassed by Swanseas two of Britton and Allen.
not athletic enough, good enough on the ball or combative enough ... and haven't been all season

Yes I believe there's a swapdeal on the cards.Swansea have enquired about our showroom dummy from Next and sigurdsen, tired of being a makeweight in a team of superstars fancies trying his luck in the north.lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:you were doing so well until that last bit. Eagles had his usual mix of looking great one minute and as dopey as feck the next but yes most probably MOM today. NRC did what he's done all season,it's a shame he's the only mediocre midfielder wee have left. We could do with another one and one less worldbeating Petrov/Eagles/Mavis/Ryo type.4 inconsistent impact players in one starting 11. Cant fault the effort but with the exception of NRC it's all Indians and no chiefs.

+1 thats how I saw it although I have to add it in no way makes Eagles look like our Ronaldo!lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:you were doing so well until that last bit. Watched Barca/Madrid (well most of it) Mourinho showed how you set about the twinkle toes but I seriously doubt our players are fit enough to play that high energy pressing game on the evidence of my eyes, just wtf is up with our fitness levels? this is something I slated Megson over, there seems to be something totally wrong there at the club. Maybe they are all short sighted or useless at finding Rivington/winter hill?

You watch this,
We'll beat Villa the hope will be back then everyone will lose next week.
Need our last game in hand to get out of relegation.
This is what makes being a Bolton fan both shit and great at the same time.

This happy clappy Everything Is Going To Be Fine nonsense is partly responsible for our current predicament, so I don't get involved. That kind of thinking has allowed Coyle to neglect the basic fundamentals until it's too late. It's why he was still in a job come the turn of the year.
But anyway, I think this was a decent result that we scarcely deserved. All our deficiencies were on display but the back four actually defended pretty heroically. Thanks to Wheater, Steinsson and Ream throwing themselves at everything we scraped the point required to keep the season alive. We were always going to need four points from Swansea and Villa, so we'll know by Tuesday night whether we're done or not.

Re: Wanderers v Swans
Feels like a loss, and could have bloody been one.
We've used all of our luck this season IMO, and I've given up hope. We're not good enough to stay in this division, our defending has cost us even more than our woeful 'strike force', Steinsson constantly backing off an attacking player encouraging them to shoot, we've seen it numerous times this season from numerous players and we deserve everything we get.
Ngog is shit scared of having a shot, Kevin Davies can't even get anywhere near to being able to have a shot and Klasnic will only have a shot if it's put on a fecking plate for him with no-one in a 15 mile radius of him. The team is crying out for Sordell, and I say that even as we've seen feck all from him, because the other three 'strikers' offer nothing. What harm can putting him on do to our chances as the other three don't do anything anyway?
Ryo for all I'm concerned can piss off back to Arsenal. He's crap. All these 15 year old boys that come on here raving about how brilliant he is need to get a reality check and need to stop thinking he's another Lee Chung Yong, because he's not. He's not fit to lace Lee's boots. He's absolutely no chance of being picked by Wenger ahead of Chamberlain. He even makes Walcott look like a complete player.
Mark Davies, done jack shit in the last few games, think he's getting complacent, but what can we do, we've no one else!
Ream, shit game, got turned too easily by crap players.
I've got tickets for every game left this season and I'm going to every one with no expectation at all.

Re: Wanderers v Swans
The truth is that if we'd acquired more points in spite of what we lack in the way that we did yesterday, we wouldn't be in such dire straits now. It is isn't one of the performances that might condemn us.
They were much the better side - they are much the better side - but I wouldn't say we stole a point. Nobody could have had too many complaints if Eagles had buried his chance in the second half to make it 2-1.

Re: Wanderers v Swans
I watched the pie-chuckers play useless fecking Arsenal last week. Their performance was everything our wasn't.
They chased and harried for 9(5) minutes, from the start to the last. They didn't give a passing team chance to settle. When they got the ball, they tried to give it to one of their players.
It was a performance unlike any I've seen from our lot, in a similar position in the league, but worlds apart on skill displayed, commitment and nous.
You're absolutley right Mummy, our dire straits started way before this game. Why no one's done anything about it, is beyond me. All we hear is lame excuse following lame excuse. Apparently we can't afford players that show a high level of commitment. And all the players that do, have been injured.
