Well, OK. I can be quite self-depricating, but just felt there was a limit .... plus, think about the children !!ohjimmyjimmy wrote:I thought they used the word cvnt?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I've been on here for ages and I'm stumped as to who'd do that!bobo the clown wrote:I suspect anyone who's been on here long enough will know who feels the need to post stuff like that.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:No i know i saw that...it was more a 'whats that all about' general comment, as in why the hell would someone be so pathetic as to do that.
As to why .... the answer is in your question .... "... someone ... so pathetic".
Though, to be fair, I am a fat git.

Both, I'd wager. Probably somebody who's been banned.

Re: Wanderers v Swans
I know it doesn't stand for alot but just noticed the Beeb had Steinsson in their team of the week;

Although I was sat a bit far away from a number of the second half's last ditch tackles and apparent penalty box scrambles, I cannot remember him putting too much of a foot wrong and still had 'ze passion' so bravo Gretar.

Steinssons a player we should be thankful to have with all the problems we've had at left back. He doesnt set the world on fire but hes a good, reliable player. Good for him making team of the week.
Re: Wanderers v Swans
I haven't seen it since it happened, but I imagine some would say he let Sinclair inside too easily for their goal.
I do think he had a good game other than that though, and he's our best full-back (although that's a bit like saying NGog is our best striker). It's a real shame he's going to get binned in the summer. He'd probably play for us in the Championship.

Other than the Swansea goal I had him down for MOM on Sat. Thought his fight, desire & passion where there for all to see and something the other 10 lazy sods needed some of (at times)

This. I'd like to keep Gretar and Ricketts. The only two I'd keep mind.Tombwfc wrote:I haven't seen it since it happened, but I imagine some would say he let Sinclair inside too easily for their goal.

But those two are solid pros who don't let you down often.
Would be great in the championship.
I suppose that with Riley and Mears, they will see Gretar as not needed.
Ricketts will stay I think!

He had a big part in costing us the goal, but other than that coasting us points, he did okay.
Strange decision for me though.

Including Coyle. He was talking about how he was emphasising all week not to do it...Tombwfc wrote:I haven't seen it since it happened, but I imagine some would say he let Sinclair inside too easily for their goal.

I'd like to keep Steinsson, certainly over Mears. He's one of the few players who looks like he has some fight in him.
I suppose with Mears and Riley he won't be seen as needed. If Riley is our right back next season (and carries on in the same vein he started in) then I understand but Mears is nothing on Steinsson.

He is that solid no-nonsense guy you'll miss when he's gone. Clearly doesn't fit St.O's personality, I suspect he's a bit puritanical & the womanising drinker won't suit.LiOC wrote:If Riley is our right back next season (and carries on in the same vein he started in) then I understand but Mears is nothing on Steinsson.
Regarding Riley ... well, he came in with a blaze but has been injured more that Joey O'B ... & I fear for his long term future if he can't push on soon.
Mears ? I simply have no opinion. I didn't even recognise a picture of him yesterday.

Re: Wanderers v Swans
Whispers are, that Steinsson is off to Sunderland (Who already have a better right back in Bardsley). He won't be offered a deal here as his wages are a bit prohibitive considering the other options we have there.
Riley has done okay when he's been needed and was excellent against Stoke, but then poor at West Brom the week after. But I've not seen enough from him to suggest he's up to being our first choice right back.

Re: Wanderers v Swans
Thats what I mean on the Riley front. If he comes in, keeps improving and he's our right back next season for those reasons then I understand the decision because we're meant to be pushing on the youth etc and he won't get any better by sitting on the bench watching Steinsson.bobo the clown wrote:He is that solid no-nonsense guy you'll miss when he's gone. I wasn't impressed when we signed Mears and I really don't think he's anything on Steinsson. I'd love him to prove me wrong and he'd probably be decent if we went down, but choosing Mears over Steinsson is because of wages rather than talent.
