Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
Morbidly playing with the BBC predictor thing, trying to find the most terrifyingly arse-clenching season ending. On this accumulator:
We beat Villa (bear with me) but lose to Sunderland and draw with Spurs
West Brom beat Villa, Wigan lose to Newcastle, QPR lose at Chelsea but Blackburn win at woeful Spurs
Then with two games left, Villa will be on 36pts with QPR, Blackburn, Wigan and us all on 34pts and two games left each.

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
Well, if we lose our next two, and QPR & Wigan win this weekend, we'd need to win our three remaining games and could therefore be relegated by failing to beat Spurs in our final game in hand on Tue May 2nd. By all means drink then.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Is it too early to start drinking yet?

Just done the predictor thing.
Got us and Blackburn down.
Wigan stay up on goal difference.
Feck I hate this game.
We need 2 wins and 2 draws from 5 games. Not happening.

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
I've refused to do it all year and continue to do so.
No way can you predict result. Can't for last few weeks god forbid for the coming weeks.
I'll open my eyes in May & see where we land. As good a method as any for me and my nerves

Bugger me, that helped.
QPR & Blackburn to go.
We actually finish 15th.
Now, where're those flip flops? Sure they're in the case with the sun-creams

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
the thing people are forgetting and i know points before games in hand but we have 5 games the rest have 3 seriously were in the driving seat and they know it we just need to win and win and win if the players dont have fight enough for the club and there future premiership contracts then they dont deserve to stay here let alone play in the prem
my prediction is still survival
furthermore
after the season if injuries weve had we deserve something in my oppinion we really need holden and cyl back i just pray they can come back like now !!
would be an awfull way to lose our premiership status
injuries injuries injuries destroying our season

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
Under no possible definition of the phrase 'driving seat', are we currently occupying it.
Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
john mcginlay did it in t'paper on thursday and had us dropping about 2 points.

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
I don't see how anyone can predict us to win any of our remaining games.
If we can't beat Fulham or Swansea at home (both of whom were playing for zilch), how are we going to beat anyone else.
We could have 20 games in hand, it still wouldn't matter.
And I'm usually one of the positive ones.

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
Both Fulham and Swansea are currently and with the possible exception of WBA sides in much better nick than those we have left to play.jonnybwfc wrote:I don't see how anyone can predict us to win any of our remaining games.
