In the light of tonight's result on a surge of optimism we are now going to finish 15th on 41 pts. Villa are doomed!

And against whom would you say we were most likely to get those six points?BWFC_Insane wrote:IMO we need two wins to stay up.
Not "are we?" but ""against whom?"
In order of likelihood (most to least) I'd say Spurs, Sunderland, West Brom, Stoke. Just so y'know.

I think we've got little to no chance of winning at Sunderland.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:And against whom would you say we were most likely to get those six points?BWFC_Insane wrote:IMO we need two wins to stay up.

We've got to target the two home games but winning both given our home form? Unlikely.
I'd say likelihood is West Brom, Stoke, Spurs, Sunderland.

Managed to squeeze it out of you...
Which scary Sunderland have you been watching? No goals in four games...

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
Last nights result changed the whole dynamics of the table.
Its my opinion that Blackburn will lose to Tottnam this weekend and Wigan will lose to the barcodes , i also believe that Blackburn will lose to Chelsea last game of the season. If that were the case I also believe that Blackburn will beat Wigan the week after next. Consequently Blackburn and Wigan will only amass a further three points each. Meaning If we were to get a win and a draw out of our remaining 4 games we could stay up on goal diff over Wigan. Six points means certain safety.
Coincidentally i also believe the moon is made of used mens underwear, and not cheese, hence the cheesy smell.

How I see it panning out Blackburn Wigan QPR all lose next game Bolton draw with Sunderland putting us level on points with Wigan and QPR 3 ahead of Blackburn. Blackburn v Wigan home win QPR v Stoke home win Bolton v Spurs draw putting QPR on 37 pts Wigan 34 Blackburn 34 Bolton 35 maximum for QPR 40 Wigan 37 Blackburn 37 leaving us to get 3 points from our last 2 games or 2 draws and it goes down to goal difference.Squeaky bum time

I was optimistic again last night
But now I can only see us getting points from West Brom at home.
Then again I didn't expect us to get much at Villa either.

The scary Sunderland that whopped us 4-0 there last season, despite being shite and beat us 1-0 at the Reebok this season despite being even shitter.....Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Managed to squeeze it out of you...

We will be tired, 3rd game in a week, they will be fresh, and O'Neill will fire em up for one last push.
Its not an impossible game, but to me they're exactly the sort of physical, organised side with just enough up top, to cause us problems, that we struggle against. I'd be happy with a point, delirious with a win, but don't expect either!

Four 1-0 wins to the whites would be nice. Not for the nerves mind.

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
On current form it's quite possible villa wont pick up any more points. Away to norwich and wba and home to spurs.2points at best. QPR and wigan have enough momentum to pass villa and hopefully now we do too. Theyre down to the kids, the manager is unpopular and has previous and we actually outclassed them for 45 mins so they must be pretty awful!

Updating Turkish Trotter again.Turkish Trotter wrote:Last 3 fixtures for bottom 6. you work it out.
Week 1
Sunderland v Bolton
Swansea v Wolves
Wigan v Newcastle
Chelsea v QPR
Spurs v Blackburn
West Brom v Aston Villa
Week 2
Aston Villa v Tottenham
Blackburn v Wigan
Bolton v WBA
QPR v Stoke
Wolves v Everton
Week 3
Chelsea v Blackburn
Norwich v Aston Villa
Man C v QPR
Stoke v Bolton
Wigan v Wolves
Plus we have the make up game against Spurs.
Looks to me like Blackburn must join Wolves in the domed pile. QPR should not get more than three points. I think Wigan may pick up 6. I doubt Villa will get more than a couple. So we need at least five from the remaining four matches. I was counting on wins against Swansea and at least a point against Fulham. Still touch and go.
