Biggest Week of Our Lives???

Post by markp27 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 8:22 pm

I will be on duty for each of this weeks games at the front gate of St Joseph's school car park.

If you are putting yourself through the pain of going to either of the games, say Hi as you drive in or wave as you drive by.

I cannot remember tension like this, survival is everything so that OC can re-build in the summer.

C'mon you Whites!!!

Biggest Week of Our Lives ???

You're pretty young then ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Without any hostility - if we stay up - and Rome stops burning - will you alter the size and boldness of your daft sig?

Assuming the manager isn't turfed out, is there a problem with OC rebuilding in the summer?

What's the alternative: just letting all out-of-contract players leave, without replacing them?

I'm genuinely intrigued as to what folk want.

Seems like a fairly logical conclusion. What else would he do?

I think we're treading water until we know our divisional status. If we stay up we re-sign some of the aging yet decent depth ones again (Petrov,Steinsson,Ricketts, Zat, Jussi).
If we don't we let them go gently into the night... heading towards West Ham presumably. We have a lot of old dead wood.

Start again with youth we have a great nucleus. Bold prem class players. Develop young strikers and we're set.

GK: Bogdan, Lainton, Lynch
RB: Mears, Riley
CB: Ream, Wheater, Connolly, Blakeman
LB: Alonso
DM: Pratley, NRC
CM: Holden, Mavies, Vela
RW: Eagles, Lee
LW: Wylde
ST: N'Gog, Sordell, Eaves, O'Halloran
What could've happened; did.

Wait a sec. Eagles is "prem class" yet Lee isn't? I think something has gone wrong somewhere!

I really dont understand why people think we should let ricketts go

hes a premier league competent player with experience who can play across the whole of the defense and in midfield if really needed, hes pretty much the most useful fit player in the squad (bar maybe NRC)

I don't think anyone has said we should. It's just he's out of contract and whether he'll accept a wage cut and championship football if we go down.

There's a couple I'd keep on, but Ricketts is the one I want to keep most.
