Yeah cos if we'd gotten more for Cahill we could have spent millions more on the likes of NGog, Eagles and Sordell!Martin_Cruise wrote:Cahill's motivation is money, he was hardfaced enough to spend over a week haggling with Chelsea for better wages before he'd sign for them.thebish wrote:Martin_Cruise wrote:I'd say it's not rocket science but I read an article saying some rocket scientists had messed up a few weeks ago.thebish wrote:Martin_Cruise wrote: Yeah, but that's only because Gartside is a mug who'll sell an England international for under half the price other clubs do.Even the fecking Venkys got over twice as much for Jones
hmmm... am interested how you would have played it differently....
Don't let their contracts run down.Other clubs even Blackburn pay them what it requires.
can you elaborate for the thicker ones among us... you appear to be suggesting someone cleverer than Coyle could have persuaded Gaz to sign a new contract at Bolton...
If Cahill had been offered the right money by Gartside and Davies he'd have signed an extension to his contract.

Cahill's motivation is money...
So not winning trophies? Consolidating his place in the england side?
When it comes to wages did you ever hear about Hull City??

Isn't Coyle's contract up this Summer? If we renew then Gartisde might be more inept than the manager.

Have you heard about Burnley? Friendly little club that pay low wages and have no ambition to do anything.
Not won a league game against Bolton or Blackburn for 25 years but they have a consistently lower payroll.

No money and no ambition are not the same thing. Leeds United had the ambition but not the money, at least at a sustainable rate, and look where that got them.Martin_Cruise wrote:wanderers_on_tour wrote:Cahill's motivation is money...

It's called spending within your means and the new rules that are being implemented into the football leagues should help see to this. So what if Burnley haven't beaten us or Blackburn in the league (they beat us in the cup last year tbf) if we we're to offer stupid wages, way above the percentage of our revenue to break even as a whole, then there wouldn't even be a BWFC.

I was thinking this earlier. I can't recall any manager walking away 'on a free' like a player does due to the club deciding not to renew.Dr.Karl wrote:Isn't Coyle's contract up this Summer? If we renew then Gartisde might be more inept than the manager.
A lot of the fans still like Coyle and I think he'll still be around next season.

I don't think lots like him. I just think lots have given up. And most of those who screamed Megson out I just don't see at the games anymore....Gail Platz wrote:I was thinking this earlier. You really must have some peripheral vision mate. Can't see much of a drop in the crowds since they all left?BWFC_Insane wrote: I don't think lots like him. I just think lots have given up. And most of those who screamed Megson out I just don't see at the games anymore....

The most vocal anti Megson fans that sit around me dont come anymore. There are plenty around who shout Coyle out like. I just think collectively most have given up long ago!TANGODANCER wrote:You really must have some peripheral vision mate. Re: JUST FCUK OFF
Mark Hughes leaving Fulham was one because they both mutually agreed to not renew, although that was probably more down to Hughes wanting to go, and Hodgson to England is free because his contract is up at the end of the season. Other than those two, I don't recall many managers leaving because their contracts were up, and as mentioned, definitely don't recall any club 'releasing' a manager.Gail Platz wrote:I was thinking this earlier. There must have been a renewal with Coyle because nothing has been said of it, and Gartside pretty much confirmed on Twitter that he would be our manager even if we got relegated.

i'd make a joke like " you mustve thought about as hard as teamcoyle does on defensive tactics " but i cant make it 'work'.
i get bad vibes about this. too much of a jobs for the boys / clique / too close to it they carnt see its not working / everyone outside laughing at it -thing about it , that any outside influence is fobbed off as "danger ! outsider !" irregardless of what anyone says.hi there, i'm chris wrote: There must have been a renewal with Coyle because nothing has been said of it, and Gartside pretty much confirmed on Twitter that he would be our manager even if we got relegated.

fecking A. About time someone said it. Ultimately it will be those of us buying season rickets year in year out that keep the club going.CAPSLOCK wrote:No, not really

20 years consecruively and travelled from all over the country week in week out to go to every home game. Renewed for next year, wished I hadnt.
Yet folk with no financial investment think that we should all say how good Coyle is when it's obvious to us sitting in the ground that the mans clueless.
Bollocks to that!
