Aye he has his issues does Bogdan. I'm not fully there on him yet. As you say he spills a LOT. And not just shots, crosses too!

Then again Jussi had issues at the start too!
I think he makes some great saves, but agree he has problems on the low shot that just bounces straight out and the odd punch that he gets nowhere near. But should we manage to sneak a win at weekend and QPR managed not to get a point, then he's earned his ongoing chance, for that brilliant save from a yard over the line against QPR. :-)

I'm not sure why Jussi would have to prove his loyalty by accepting a massive pay-cut and semi-retirement.

I'd sell Bogdan if we could get some money for him. I don't think the Mark Davies comparison works. Unless you are recognised as one of the best in the world, or someone forgets the value of money, you'll rarely get more than £4-5mil for a 'keeper.

Bogdan is not there yet - he drops crosses and spills the ball more than any other keeper in the prem , other fans have picked up on this as well but on here you have to be all happy clappy about him, why is an inexperienced keeper No1 in a relegation fight ?

Might be worth remembering some of the ones he has saved this season.

On Sunday, West Brom registered 10 shots on target, more than they've managed in any other game this season bar the one the whacked Wolves in.

As many have said, Bogdan is a ways down the problem list.

Bogdan represents one of the bright spots in the last 12 months. Selling Al Habsi was a sound piece of business, in that we haven't paid him since summer 2010 and recouped c. £5m in fees. Jussi is out of (a large, lucrative) contract in the summer, and is clearly on the wane.

I'd imagine Bogdan is payed less than either of those two, and whilst is young and must learn, is also good enough to be in the prem. Theres plenty to criticise, but its just taking the piss to focus on the keepers.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Van Der Sar looked suspect when he was playing for Fulham and Peter Schmeichel looked suspect playing for Man City. I think the big teams make their goalkeepers look better than they actually are. The whole clean sheet streak that Petr Cech had for Chelsea has to be taken with a pinch of salt because lets be honest, theres no way he would've got that playing for a team outside of the top 6.

True enough you don't get 10 shots a week to stop playing behind a decent back four..
Bogdan has more shots to save a week than Joe Hart has in a month.. I think Bogdan's done OK considering the shaky start against Chelski.. He'll do.. just need to sort out the 10 in front of him..
Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham
