Just had a mooch on the Stoke forum and saw this thread for songs they plan to sing on Sunday. Pretty banal stuff, with this exception....

Who sponsors the league?

'As shameful as football suporting gets was Bolton's effort that day. Good to see a classy set of fans do the right thing by their own club when losing at Wembley a month later.'

I quite like Stoke fans, i'll bloody love em if they lose on Sunday, but it's hardly the same thing!! Also if IRC didn't Yaya Toure score late in the game to win 1-0? Hardly like being dead and buried after 30 minutes.

Its the sort of thing I could imagine appearing on here if the reverse had happened.

I think its the sort of thing football fans say.

Easy to be all high and mighty when you're on the other end of it, but I'm sure had they been thumped they'd have gone before the end too.....

Their end at the Reebok was pretty empty halfway through this season...

I don;t often see superfan stuff on here regarding other teams' support.

We're a modest bunch, especially when it comes to our support. It seems we're a rarity on that.

I heard a Brighton fan calling intom a radio station saying that we didn't deserve to be in the league because we only took 1700 to Villa. His point was that they took the same to Cardiff on a Tuesday night. truly baffling.

It's just been pointed out to me by a grinning and winking Claret that Coyle's first ever game as a premier league manager was actually at The Britannia. A 2-0 defeat. Yep. Thanks for that! :whack:

Okay due to being in Hospital I've left it too late to get coach travel, what's the best way to get there? Could take the car as long as there is parking nearby..

Train? Walkable distance to the ground I've been led to believe.

I was thinking the train but I didn't want to end up miles away from the place

I gather most people are getting the train that arrives at 11:50. Sets off from Manc at 11:15

I'll go for that one then, don't want to end up being late and getting lost

Is that the off-peak return? If so, what times are off-peak? I just don't fancy getting stung on the way back for a full same-day fare off the red Virgin warriors.

Just read this on a stoke forum in reply to an ass licking QPR fan

Bolton will beat us on Sunday, just like you did last week. However your victory will be in vain because you're going down.

We like Bolton because they laid down at Wembley for us. Plus Bolton is closer, much nicer than Shepherd's Bush, and their fans are a decent bunch.

You need to get something at Man City, that's the reality you c*nt

I'm sure all of Sunday is off peak anyway

Then again I could be wrong
