I think that for GG, the "past" means summat different than what it does to you and I! I was reminiscing about old kids TV programmes the other day (in a vain attempt to get her to show J&J summat decent - like the Clangers) - and the furthest nostalgia-reach she could make was "Dangermouse"!

Missus actually made a Thai green curry last night. FECK ME! It was hot.. I told her to use half a chilli.. She put a full one in.. It didn't even need the half!

I spent the evening downing milk and mopping sweat off my face. It tasted fantastic in fairness, but it was just a little too hot.

I usually have some plain yoghurt to hand. Failing that I've been told a teaspoon of sugar will take the heat away.

I always use it as an excuse to get the ice cream out
