Today I'm happy about......

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Today I'm happy because I've finally managed to beat thebish (the most formidable of opponents) at internet Scrabble. :pissed:

Too kind, and you, Sir, are a master tactician. I was convinced that you were going to play an 'ace' late on.

Tried to post this on the "neither angry not happy" thread three times and it got knocked back each time. So :

Not sure it's really happy stuff, but come Monday I start on the electronic cig I just bought. Me and the wife are both giving it a serious go. Smoked all my life and confess it's one of my few pleasures, but the cost of smoking is really ridiculous now, so I'm going to try. If I then find I want to stop altogether, I will. Can't start till the weekends over because I'll be chewing them about the match result one way or the other, but come Monday..... Wish me luck...

Genuine best wishes with that, Tango. It does get easier, believe me. Go for it, mate.

Good luck Tango. If you both manage to stick with it, & like Bruce says its easier after the first few days, then you'll be quids in at your house given the cost of em these days

Not sure how much they are today, but they were just under a £5er a pack when I quit. So every day I put a £5er in an ice bucket and watched it mount up. In what seemed like no time I was worried about the amount of cash that I had in the house. Bought a new PC with it.

1: Watch resized and now on my wrist.

2: Nice dinner at Frankie and Bennys at Middlebrook...although 2 afternoon pints lead to the childish game of "who can shout willy the loudest" in Asda.....I won.

A 50gm pack of rolling tobacco cost £13 minimum right now. (same thing in Spain is about £6).
I use 75gm a week so write off £20. Elec cigs, apparently, work out much cheaper according to usage so I must be on a saver to start with. I intend to use it as sparingly as possible till I get used to it, then..hopefully.........

Smoking (at least rolling) is a bit of a ritual that you get used to. Rolling tin, tobacco and lighter are companions- sounds daft but it's true- same with pipe-smoking, so that'll need to be got used to. That said, if I walk the dog, or even go into town, I rarely take a smoke with me and at work I got down to four a day. All down to determination I suppose. Can't be that hard, I once stopped four times in a single week. :)
