Aye and look where that one got us! Out with the old, in with the new.

I'd like to start by targeting a new manager, followed by some defence and an attacker that can score.

MF might be ok, on the grounds that we have about 25 of them, that all look mediocre enough to play in the Championship.

Can we sign Sam Ricketts please?

Ooc at his current job.

Well if I have been sacked then so be it.

Your making a mistake though I tell you...was just about to put on my thread about a major signing...

George Boyd is out of contract at Peterborough. If no Prem club comes in for him he might fancy joining one of the, ahem, big boys in the Championship :)

Would, surely?

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

How about this one: Tal Ben Haim. Used to be a worldbeater for us, then went shit. Maybe Owen can work his inspirational magic and revive his career?

Mate he's down with us at Fratton earning 36k a week! Peter Storrie's leaving present to us after he burried us neck-deep in the $hit!

You're welcome to have him if you can re-negotiate a wage, I'll even drive him up to the Reebok for you if you want!

As an aside I could see you going for another one of our players; Greg Halford. Very solid centre-back for us who's not on mega wages and because of the state we're in you could probably pick him up for 2.50, a can of coke and a Mars Bar.

Or how about;

Joel Ward
Luke Varney
Dave Kitson
Marko Futacs
David Norris
Kelvin Etuhu
Ricardo Rocha (actually we'd like to keep him if that's ok)

We're running a 'buy one, get one free' offer at the moment, save an extra 15% with a Pompey mega-sale discount card!

I don't think we could afford that now, you're alright PBP, you keep him
