Re: Stoketastrophe: which is worse?
Was that the game where Neil Cox was playing... for Watford? I was watching that in a pub and have a terrible memory so it wasn't that bad for me, but if we lost it would have left me heart-broken for a bit.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

coyle's brain broke a few weeks before the stoke cup game. possibly at the birmingham cup game.LiOC wrote:Relegation in general will be worse.
But I voted for the semi because if we go down I won't be dwelling on that one stoke game, I'll be thinking about losing to wigan, rolling over to everyone top half etc etc so the actual match memories won't be as bad whereas the semi was horrifying
i think he thinks that computer game setups win football matches , and if they dont - well - its how football should be played.
allardyce would roll over in his grave.
:/

It could be argued that he's a dead man walking should West Ham not be promoted via the pay-offs!thebish wrote:a1 wrote:coyle's brain broke a few weeks before the stoke cup game. possibly at the birmingham cup game.LiOC wrote:Relegation in general will be worse.

That would be a travesty, considering they're so very well organised...BWFC1874 wrote:It could be argued that he's a dead man walking should West Ham not be promoted via the pay-offs!thebish wrote:a1 wrote:allardyce would roll over in his grave.have I missed summat??

Re: Stoketastrophe: which is worse?
Ok, now its happened I can answer, more accurately.....
After the semi final, it was a mixture of dissapointment, anger and a bit of frustration thrown into the mix. Mainly dissapointment.
Today after the reality has sunk in, its just deep deep sadness.
Relegation a million zillion times worse than losing a cup game.

Today is worse than the Monday morning after Wembley.
We have lost more than one opportunity.
We've lost ownership of a journey. We're longer on.
It feels terrible this morning.
Wish we could close our eyes and wake up in August. Sod the Euro's too

Re: Stoketastrophe: which is worse?
Look at it this way. Had we stayed up we would've been in another relegation battle. Now we're down we can look forward to giving the Championship a good attempt and hopefully having a good season where we'll win a lot more, play a lot more and probably enjoy it a lot more.
Heck there might even be a good chance of us scoring a hat-trick, we've not had one of them in a decade.

I think he means the last 11 years of premiership football, which have felt a bit like a journey in some ways. Especially considering what had gone before it....thebish wrote:what the cocking-tit does that even mean????the-Bowtun-Warrior wrote:Today is worse than the Monday morning after Wembley.

Re: Stoketastrophe: which is worse?
nope - still got no idea how you can lose "ownership" of a journey - or even part of a journey...BWFC_Insane wrote:I think he means the last 11 years of premiership football, which have felt a bit like a journey in some ways.
