Nothing wrong with keeping Kevin Davies, the odd start or coming on regularly suits, he's shown his loyalty to the club, shown he still can be a threat and he can bring experience for the younger players

I'll whack it on to the thread I made sometime tomorrow evening.

I'd do it now but I've got work in the morning - it'd take me that long to go through what's been happening!

I hope he's been doing his coaching badges because he may be caretaker manager by December ;)

Awkwardly accurate!

No doubt we'll try to get that Rhys Williams again.

Chuffed with Ream so far; shown his inexperience at times, but overall (including and especially yesterday) he's looked excellent.

championship sides that miss the promotion cut?
promising div 1 players?
foreign johnnies?
Burnley?
premiership loanees?
prem players who have aged and are looking for a last hurrah?

Does the promise of a loan from Chelsea still count now we're relegated?

according to a source in another place (proper old-time email list):
According to the BN, Coyle's job isn't in danger. Also the players who are to be released will be published at the end of the week. Miyaichi, Boyata and Tuncay will all go back to their 'main' clubs.

going to be an interesting summer. more concerned with who we keep hold of rather than who we bring in at this time.

the defence has to be a priority followed closely by central midfield unless holden is fit & ready for the start of next season.

Can we just use the summer to reassemble our 2005/2006 era side? I reckon Hunt, Ben Haim, Faye, Nolan and Vaz Te should be gettable. Where's Stelios?

We need a big feck off beast of a centre half and a left back.

Who would you keep, JB? For me, first name is Ricketts (as you say, our defence is a priority). Don't mind SKD getting another 12 months as long as it's not too expensive. Doubt it's worth paying Petrov what he'd ask. Fear Jussi might ask more than a pine-rider should get. The others, meh. Let's get shut and start again.

If we keep Ricketts and Davies, the starting XI will be competitive. Problem is that the Championship is a looooooooong season, so we'll need some depth which we lack at the moment. Some astute signings will really help in that regard.

pretty much the same thoughts. looks like skd is sticking around. ricketts for sure as we have dire need at the back and he's a utility guy more than capable at the level going off what we've seen so far. crossing my fingers for that one.

not sure if realistic and fairly sure he'll get a deal abroad or maybe with a lower end premiership club but would be happy if we retained petrov.

jussi seems like a luxury for a sub goalie. would imagine he's on more than the first choice (said when it happened but i'm so angry at the al habsi situation, think we f*cked that up good & proper) so will probably bid him a farewell and reminisce on what is probably our greatest signing of this era?

the rest can leave.

Had 2/3 texts this morning suggesting the vultures have not wasted any time.
Enquiries in for Holden already.
