When you say direct replacement, do you mean he can put his foot in?
He was one of Chelsea's best players under AVB. They signed him Barcelona, and Barca can buy him back at any time like Bojan, so he has class. He's got good skills despite being defensive minded.

I'd say he's quite a bit better than NRC already. He wouldn't get the headlines of Sturridge but he is a far better player.

Link? or just rumour?

Fantastic player! and would be amazed if he came to play in the championship. Could easily play week in week out for Chelsea.

I suspect this level of loan went out of the window when Sunday's game finished.

Indeed. I imagine that any future loans will be on a try-before-you-buy type arrangement from lower league clubs rather than us blooding fledgelings for the great and the good.

The red shite had scouts watching him last night. So he's on bigger radars than ours.

Reading have signed McCleary from forest

Only reason I mention this is because hes a winger and it makes them a lot less likely to chase petrov

But surely all elite teams in the Barclays Premier League need a minimum of 10 wingers?

If Ricketts can't agree a new deal what about a loan for this Bertrand lad from Chelsea?

Good call on Bertrand, but I thought Ricketts was one of those that was pretty much sorted already?
