His partnership with Elmander was pretty successful last season.bobo the clown wrote:My concern with KD isn't that, at this level, he can still give some defences nightmares, but that he has ... for all that he's given us .. never EVER forged a successful partnership with anyone. Never. He's fckd a few others careers up at the same time btw.

It's as close as he got ... but I do think it was despite of each other rather than because of.H. (welcome back, btw)

Re: Conman & Liar
He might well get us back up but the tosser can't manage in the premiership he's tactically inept, so we would be better getting rid of him now. And it won't be a few million quid to get rid of him his contract expires next month.Jez wrote:We spend a few mil on getting rid of Coyle, then what? McLeish or Grant come in and take us straight back to the prem and onto europe? He may have struggled this season but the guy has brought a team up before

My main concern with Coyle is he's getting a bit old to be wearing those shorts.

Perhaps Sordell is the new Andranik/Riga/etc.

You have to pin your hopes on someone, right?lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:can i just chip in and say we know feck all about Sordell and many seem to be pinning a lot of hope on him on said feck all knowledge.

seconded, sometimes i wonder if we will see him sporting stylish suit but realise that to coyle that translates asbettyrasta wrote:My main concern with Coyle is he's getting a bit old to be wearing those shorts.
..

my prediction for sordell is either mainstay of our new formed first team or leaves next january after imresive first half to the season.H. Pedersen wrote:Perhaps Sordell is the new Andranik/Riga/etc.
however we all look at the state of boltons coming season we all must understand while the teams we will be playing are going to be much weaker we will be playing vs plenty of cloggers and lots of young players looking to prove themselves, hopefully we start so well in our first 10 matches that we get our tails up and get the whole squad beliving were going straight back up, i for one have come to accept our relegation now and will enjoy visiting a few "smaller" clubs for hopefullly only a year.

NGog and Eagles (as well as a perhaps more speculative investment of hope on a returning Holden) for me.
NGog- seen enough to suggest that with a bit of confidence he can be a success. Holds it up well, has pace
Eagles- drifts in to join play and with a bit more composure (and luck) could have bagged the goals needed to keep us up. Makes the occasional feck up but those will be less likely to be punished in our new division.
Sordell???? dunno

a). he's good .... so why the fck wasn't he used after being bought ?
or
b). he's shite ... so why the fck did we piss £3.5m on him ?
Either way it's bloody odd.

C). He's good, but after having a closer look in training, he thought he wasn't ready for a relegation scrap.

fair ... & rather positive point.boltonboris wrote:C). He's good, but after having a closer look in training, he thought he wasn't ready for a relegation scrap.
But we saw fit to chuck him onto the bench often & enough & he must have watched some shite who were deemed to be better.
