You can do it my son.
Re: Where are you going tonight?
tonight I have been out on my annual week of humility born of inviting scornful regard and rejection!!!
I've been door-to-door trying to persuade the good people of Romford to part with a little of their stash in the cause of some of the poorest people of the world and the work on their behalf by Christian Aid and its many local indigenous partners.
if a collector comes to your door - at least be nice!

Re: Where are you going tonight?
this morning I am mostly off to the dentist for part two of my crown-fitting (had all the excavation work done 2 weeks ago - so I think this is the painless bit with glue and lots of fancy blue-ray laser heating guns and goggles!!)
then - and hour or so later - am conducting a funeral.... am hoping the dentist trip doesn't involve anaesthetics... else the eulogy might be delivered in the vocal style of the elephant man....

Not a tonight, but went to Camelot today........not overly impressed with it. Not a patch on Alton Towers, however the Jousting show was fairly good.....although there seemed to be some racial tension at one pont.

Were they picking on the Black Knight again?
Went once to Camelot when my daughter was about 3. During the joust the Black Knight bested the Green Knight and was poised to strike. My daughter was becoming more and more agitated at the Black Knight's cheating. A hush descended over the audience as he paused for effect and my daughter, in a proper Cockney accent piped up ''SMASH 'IM INNA FACE''
The audience fell about at my daughter's vehemence.
So proud.

Re: Where are you going tonight?
went to the RADA studios (formerly the Drill Hall) with free tickets to see recording of Rufus Hound's R4 show "My Teenage Diary"..
pot luck - as it really depends on who the guest is..
anyway - it turned out to be Jackie Kay - the black scottish lesbian poet

and... she had a fascinating story to tell about her life - focussing on the 80s when she was at Stirling University and in London - and what the UK was like back then...

actually (as I put on the happy thread when I got the tickets) - I was only there because they had a promotion whereby everyone who went to see rufus hound would get free tickets (and there is normally a very long waiting list) to go and see a recording of QI..
I hope poor Rufus wasn't aware of this - because everyone I spoke to in the bar beforehand was basically there to get their QI tickets (which they cleverly gave out AFTER the recording and not before!!)
anyway - I have now scored 3 tickets to go and watch a recording of QI...

I'd be delighted to accept them. Thank you.

Seriously, though, if you were unable to offload them I would love to go and see a live recording. I could even fulfill my ambition of flicking spit bubbles at Alan Davies.

A lady went up to the jester, told him he needed to apologise to the pakistani man, then went back to her family and led them away from the show........baffled.

Re: Where are you going tonight?
Tonight I'm going to the reebok where it's the annual memorial service for those Wanderers fans who are commemorated at the stadium. Ive got three people I really loved commemorated there, including my dad.
The club do this well.
It's the only religious service I purposefully go to.
