Bit gutted about this. He still should of been No. 1 at the end of last season for me. Don't think he would of conceeded those two goals that Bogdan did at Stoke but that's another story.

Always thought he would go on and become our record apperance maker but not to be.

I think that save from Cahill away at Villa is the best save I've ever seen. Unbelievable.
Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,

Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

the day we sined bodgan was the day we should have sold him, ithink he played one maybe two good games since them, if we had sold him in the summer of 2009 some fool would have given us 10M for him instead he goes on a free

Uh van der Sar only went for £2 million so I doubt your £10 million figure. Jussi was also obviously on the decline at that point.

I personally think we should have parted ways after his last contract expired at the end of 2008. Al Habsi had done enough to show he could take over. But money was no object back in those days . . .

It does seem a little unlikely. Like to think Jussi and Rico will come back in some role in future. Bogdan is the future though and Jussi will continue to lose his spring. I'd be a little surprised if he is first choice at a prem club next season.

I can't remember any specific moments, the lasting memory I'll have of him is that if I wanted a goalkeeper in one on one situations, it would be Jussi

One of my favourite players, gutted to see him go but he'd be daft to sit on the bench at a Championship club when he can go and be a number 1 in a Premier League side.

Legend is an overused term but this guy will go down as one of the biggest legends the club has ever had.

Jussi, thank you for your consistently excellent performances over the past however many years, they will never be forgotten.

Thanks for the memories and goodbye.

Kind of gives me a little warm glow in my tummy that Mahoosive West Ham get all our players only when we've had the best of 'em.

Absolute legend. Gutted. I mean, I get it, and rationally it makes sense, but gutted. Always thought he'd break Eddie's record. Difficult to see anyone doing that now.

Thanks Jussi, you miserable brilliant bastard.
