Liverpool laughing stocks?

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Think he was mentioned initially, especially with what happened last year. But all the talk was Liverpool, with Whelan giving him the job.....but that isn't happening, by the looks of it.

Swansea manager, Brendan Rodgers. FFS! Now that was one saviour King-in-waiting that didn't appear on the radar. Three year deal too. Now why did Martinez hop off to Yankeeland and Brendan hasn't. Plus a 3-4 million compo package. That's going to hurt someones' wallet if it doesn't come good. 8)

Good plan for liverpool if the muppites can be patient for once.Lambert to Villa? Why on earth did whelan start banging on about Martinez and Liverpool. It's almost like he's wishing him away.

Martinez was on holiday in the Caribbean while FSG were in Miami - it was a fairly short journey to make for a meeting, rather than dragging your arse across the Atlantic when they were going to be in the country a few days later anyway.

Have to say that, unfortunately, I think it's a belting decision. IF he gets time he'll do well there. I think, unlike Martinez, he isn't to proud to be pragmatic at times, whilst keeping to his ideas of how to win games.

I wonder if Rodgers will get the grief Coyle got for his ship-jumping?

And if not, why not?

I can see most Pool fans giving him a fair crack of the whip after Hodgson & Dalglish. I'm sure they're desperate for a bit of stability. A late bid for Sigurdsson perhaps?

That depends on whether his 'philosophy' actually wins games. No matter how much the Scousers like to prattle on about their footballing ideals and all that, they're just as fickle as the rest of us.

He's not Benitez or King Kenny. The honeymoon will be short unless they get so immense results in early doors.
