Well, I know girl that always uses Fahrenheit is the summer, to make out that's insufferably hot, and Celsius in the winter to make out that it's reducoulously cold. Never quite understood why though.

Because 32f doesn't actually sound cold ... just as 32c doesn't sound scorchio. Very odd set of numbers whicher is used. But Celsius/centigrade just doesn't have enough range.

Sounds about right to me. That's how they used to tell us to do it at school in 90's, 80's, 70's.
