I'm 5ft 11in and a bit..

and I can rest my chin on GG's head (whilst both standing up)... which must mean I have a 7in head - which sounds unlikely!!
Only when you have your high heels on ;)
ahhh - I knew there was an explanation!! 8)
Will you let me borrow them?! GtE might be nice to me if I'm tall. :(

no - it's just another round of inane and stupid pronouncements about the government's plans to introduce "gay marriage". The CofE should just shut up and stop making themselves (and the rest of us in the church by association) look like utter dicks. there's plenty to pronounce about that actually matters!!!

You mean this? Can they cope with the loss of revenue and further drop in attendances?

I am not sure whether they are for or against but presume the latter. The Anglican Church of Canada is rather more liberal, some though not all performing same sex marriages (or possibly church blessings of same). A dozen or so congregations, outraged at this liberalism have broken away fro the ACC and now receive oversight from South America. I'm not sure if the legal action over this has been resolved.

you presume correctly... they are making ever shriller and ever more redicoulose claims that it will bring about the end of civilization as we know it...

Blinds - those stupid fecking blinds that in order to get them to go up you have to pull them down a bit. Only, whenever I have a go I merely succeed in pulling them down, bit by bit, until the whole thing's out and then I have to summon help. Bastard things! :(

Curtain style horizontal openers are the answer Bruce. Totally trouble free, couldn't be easier. The wife even lets me have a go occasionally.

bin night - so was filling the recycling sacks... plunged hand into recycling box and massively sliced open my index finger on a tin can lid - sharp as a fecking razor - blood everywhere - didn't realise you could lose so much blood from your finger!

anyway - wrapped it in layers of kitchen roll and went to get plasters... decided it needed pressure to stop the bleeding - so - whacked on 4 or five plasters very tightly wound and went to watch Grayson Perry.. throbbing finger - but eventually eased off..

came in here to type Grayson Perry review - realised I could not feel end of finger at all! had wrapped it far to tight..

so - peeled off plasters - and in process set it off spurting blood again - and re-plastered it, only much looser....

is throbbing again now and the kitchen looks like A&E!!
