Got the ball, moved it on. No hopefull hoofs to no-one in particular and he could score goals too.

Steve Thompson.
The first real 'big name' player leaving that i can recall as a lad...he was being touted round big clubs, went to Luton i think in the end, who were in fact a step up for him at the time as they were in the old first division. Didnt last long there and ended up doing well at Leicester.
He always had that little bit extra class at our level and it was inevitable he would leave for a bigger club.
