“I cleared the ball and thought my knee would just go back. I went back on for 10 minutes and found that my shin wasn’t connected to my knee when I was running about.

Stay down next time mate..!

"Run it off yer big blouse !".

Bert Sproson would have had it sorted with his magic sponge.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

So this accounts for his good looks “It’s definitely the worst injury I’ve ever had. I’ve only ever had broken noses in the past."

And breaking his cheekbone, at Charlton... 'til he got sent off.

I really like Wheater. He was a fantastic buy, so I'm looking forward to seeing him play again.

Being a big rugby league fan, this makes me laugh. It's only a dislocated finger, so he bloody should play on!

As for Wheater, I'm sure we've all seen him heatbutting blocks of ice on YouTube so it doesn't surprise me!

Not half.
Harrison Hansen broke his nose in 2 places a few weeks back and played on.
2 weeks later he broke his jaw. Stood on the touchline he was pleading to go back on...
