Euro 2012

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

No plan B could see at half time it was't right did he change it did he fvck

Let's chuck a load of crosses in but we will leave Carroll on the bench bring him on then we try to play through them

Rooney what a lazy cvnt had the ball about 10 times and lost it 10 times

Did Henderson touch the ball?

Young waste of space

Glad we went out tho Germany would rip us a new one

Thought Gerrard and Johnson and maybe Terry had good tournament but that's it

Good luck to Italy there gonna need it

The only out we had for the entire game was hitting it at Carroll who did well and should have started IMO.

Rooney is completely overrated. Shite in tournament football, looks overweight to me and basically is a joke.

Ashley young was shite and his penalty summed him up.

Gerrard tried hard as did the whole back four but we lacked legs in midfield and were overrun for long periods. Parker is shite IMO. Glorified by the Southern Loving English media a trier but gave the ball away too easily and is no threat in possession at all.

We are not really good enough. Simple as.

Rooney wasnt fit...and suspended to start with. Odd he went. Then you see defoe as the 'other' sttriker. less odd.

We arent in that class of teams end of...defended magnificently I thought back 5 and carroll as well.

No choice but to play for pens...just read only ireland, greece and ukraine created on average less chances per game, so we must have defended well.

Young was useless again, worst player out there.

Good game though i thought just littered with errors.

From where we were a month ago this team has done as well as we could have expected.

Defensively well organised - hard to beat, compact etc etc.
The back 5 have been consistently outstanding - even Glen Johnson surprise surprise.
Parker and Gerrard have also held the team together really well.

Problem is we have no attacking players who are anywhere near good enough.

Rooney is fine in theory- but looks knackered after a long season. Welbeck is not ready for this level - at least not against the top teams.

Ashley Young has been an utter disgrace throughout the whole tournament - both defensively in the 4-4-2 and constantly giving the ball away - which you can't do at this level. At least Milner knows his limitations and plays within them.

Usual situation - out in the last 8 - and for that Roy Hodgson deserves a lot of thanks - after Capello, to get there within a month is a job well done

It's a relief really -when you think of the super crushing germany would have given us.

And now I'm looking forward to the rest of it - for which I shall be in Portugal... May be difficult to find an open restaurant on Weds night... :D

What a crock of sh*te! I thought I was watching BWFC under feckin’ Megson! ‘Woy’ has been found out to be the clueless twunk he clearly is, a knock out game is not one to try to secure a point.
Carroll was good, sorry no chance, he is not mobile enough, all it did was give England the excuse to bang it long, and the Italians could have that all day long. Was there a bloke called Young playing in this tournament? I’m sure someone mentioned his name, Rooney is clearly not fit and about a stone over weight, Johnson is gash, Parker average and that carthorse called Milner??? FFS if Hodgeson thinks stuffing the pillock out on the right offers anything by way of a threat he is deluded.
We offered little threat at all to Italy after our failure to make that good 15-20 mins count the game was crying out for wide men with pace ie Oxygen tent and Walcott from the start and Defoe instead of Rooney at some point.
We are going nowhere under Hodgeson the FA have cocked up again, should have given the job to Megson or Coyle they would have delivered the same result only cheaper! :hang:

Just an after thought, we really were not trying to play for penalties were we?

Just asking for it when you leave Pirlo that much space. Really shouldn't have gone to penalties.

Fabregas and Henry moved on in a much classier, less money grabbing way then the other 3 - thats why they are welcome back at The Emirates and the other 3 wouldn't be...

And next season is 'The One!' 8)

Hoboh, you can't blame Roy he got a shambolic group organised and simply got the best he could out of them. Not his fault the raw materials weren't there.

Fabregas left Arsenal in a classy way? Really? I think that's the biggest bollocks statement I've ever read on here and that's going some......

What i mean by that is i don't believe it was as money motivated as Cashley, Nasri and Adebayor, it was the lure of his boyhood club.
