Did 20 minutes in the rain tonight, was amazing. Nothing better than warm rain for sport.

Yes. If you set off now you'd be at mine in about 2 weeks?

Keep it up CAPS. Next tinme I'm in Bolton I want to do the Park run with you, Bruce, Harry and anyone else who fancies it. Proper TW experience.

Re: The athletics/running thread
you could all do it like a three-legged race - only 5 - or 7??? (stop GtE and Harry legging it off into the distance!)Gary the Enfield wrote:CAPSLOCK wrote:6.5k in 40 minutes

Just found out. Official time 43:47. I matched my pb. On a tougher course too. Smashing!![]()
Personally, I've been having a bit of a mare of late and just wasn't enjoying my running. Did a road/trail race last night and felt lethargic throughout. Fortunately, I'd decided to have a bash at 'Aggies Staircase' a fell race over at Darwen tonight. Had a good run and really felt like I'd got my mojo back and happily no ill effects from 2 races on consecutive nights.
Nice one Harry. I've no idea where that time came from as I was telling everyone to 'relax and enjoy as this isn't a PB course'

Do you find that, though? My times have been improving but I seem to be knocking off 20 - 30 sconds at a time. I know it'll tail off but I'm now looking at sub 43 before the end of the season. Can't wait.

Reet - made a fresh start this morning ahead of the Hermes the Enfield Parkrun Challenge. Averaged 6'27" per KM, which is absolute shite. Work to do.

Re: The athletics/running thread
Just done a personal best distance of 6 miles (all but 10k) in about 55 minutes taking in some hefty climbs
That'll do now
Lost 4 stones and started running since the beginning of January
Just want to see how quick I can do 5k now

Thats right Caps, secretly i'm madly in love with you but scared to let it show for the shame that lusting after a Bolton fan might bring to my family...CAPSLOCK wrote:Ah, playing hard to get, eh?

My running has err... run to a stop a bit, as well. Hoping football pre-season which starts mid July might give me the kick up the backside i need.Verbal wrote:Well and truly off the wagon at the minute. I should do something more.
