Bought a couple of DVD's with a Fathers Day gift token. One of them "Tinker,Tailor Soldier Spy" which I've heard mentioned on here. Read the book ages ago and just finished reading Le Carre's Our sort of Traitor,so looking forward to watching.

Oh, I watched that Bridesmaids the other night. Funny.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Is anyone else watching How The Brits Rocked America on BBC 4? Fascinating - so excessive.

I think you will like it. Typical wishy washy Mike Leigh affair where nowt much really happens, but still compelling and you completely invest in the characters. Sally Hawkins stars who is just adorable in everything.Bruce Rioja wrote:Nice one. Loved it! Mike Leigh in smiley and humane mood. My favourite of his by a distance.General Mannerheim wrote:I think you will like it. Watched. You were right Worthy, great film. Acting from Gary Oldman superb; from all of them actually. Slow-paced but riveting. Spy film par excellence.Worthy4England wrote:I guessing the new one rather than the original? I really enjoyed it.TANGODANCER wrote:Bought a couple of DVD's with a Fathers Day gift token.
