I would go with the plural of the way some of the exchanges on this site are conducted with (although I don't think I've ever heard it used in the plural).
Acrimonies
Something to due with not liking paying money to the ex I think !!
That too, Bobo, said he with the voice of experience.

The cobblers in Farnworth. Huge recommend. He's just resurrected my 12-year-old favourite more-comfortable-than-slippers Italian handmade shoes. Good as new. The tag he put on them says "shoes worth wearing are worth repairing". Totally agree.

I should add you can't buy them anymore, so I was dreading him saying they were irreperable.

Blimey. no one been happy on here since Thursday! Thought I'd redress the balance. Yesterday I beat my son for the first time at clay pigeon shooting. Not that I'm at all competitive, but he did think the high fives with everyone in the clubhouse and the lap of honour were going a bit too far.

I thought hitting kids was forbidden these days?

It's certainly much more difficult these days, particularly when they're holding a 12 bore. Mind you, given that he's 15, 6 feet 2 with size 12 feet, I probably wouldn't make much of an impression anyway.

Well, I came up with the first (if you check my white letters) but I was not sure it could exist in the plural (if you check my post), So your second could be the only one, if I was wrong on acrimonies. I'd never heard of carmoisine though I seem to recall Red dye no. 3.

Today I'm happy that it's my first day back at work after a week off - happy that I'm not a painter and fecking decorator. Dear me!

Just changed service providers to get BT Infinity...much faster than previous provider for about the same wedge.

Figured since I could now probably stream stuff in a reasonably unjerky manner, I'd grab a new upstairs TV too!

seem to remember tv quiz shows get tripped up with this kinda stuff [ only / one of / unique / biggest etc style questions] quite often.

for some reason i'm now thinking of that film "quiz show" , even though i dont think ive seen it.

Today I'm happy for my youngest who is now 17, I'm not happy though that his expectation is that he'll be taking driving lessons that will cost £00s and then there's the insurance :help:

Tell him 'No', Salford. At that age most of us on here over the age of 30 were working weekends and school holidays (it came up in a thread some time ago.) It might be hackneyed but it's quite true that working for your own dosh at that age does teach a bloke what it takes to earn a quid. That money of course is his to do with as he likes. He'll soon work out his priorities. :)

To be fair he's a football ref at weekends and earns enough to keep him happy without asking for too much from the bank of mum and dad. I think he realises that the driving lessons and the impendng Insurance are a little steep to say the least. However if he pushes it can I have your number and you can share your wisdom with him
