Football Supporters's Federation Policing/Stewarding Survey
Hello all
My first post on here. I'm Amanda Jacks and work as a case worker for the FSF. My role includes providing legal advice to fans who may have found themselves arrested and helping supporters who may need to make a complaint to either the police or football clubs. I also work with the police to help improve match day policing and while balancing the two roles can sometimes be tricky, my work with fans is in no way compromised by my work with the police.
I've recently compiled a survey into matchday policing and stewarding to help me better undertand the views of supporters and also assist in deciding where best to focus my efforts next season.
It's 40 questions long and entirely anonymous. I'd be very grateful if you could spend 10/15 minutes filling it in:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Policing- ... ampionship
Any questions, please feel free to ask.
Thank you.
Amanda

Can our resident bin dipper vouch for you?
Re: Football Supporters's Federation Policing/Stewarding Sur
I'm real and geniune, honestly! Google my name and the FSF and you'll see that.
Thanks to those who've completed the survey so far. Ideally, I'd like at least 100 fans from each club to complete it and Bolton fans are someway short. Clearly, I can't make anybody fill it in, but if you did it really will assist us in many ways.

Done.
Good luck with your efforts, seems like worthwhile stuff. A cursory search of the internet seems to show some pretty unappreciative Sheffield Wednesday fans. Hope that incident got sorted ok.

Technically, we've never been in it: yon name was only instituted in 2004...Worthy4England wrote:How can I answer questions on Championship Stewarding at away grounds - not been to any in the Championship for 11 years.

Meanwhile, before we bother replying to Amanda .... can we demand a photo ??
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Presumably Worthy phrased his own answer carefully ("...in the Championship") because he knows we went to second-tier teams for cup games during our top-flight odyssey. He just didn't want to show off by naming the five we visited during that time. Watford, Millwall, Norwich ..........
May the bridges I burn light your way

Well, you are all wrong! Ewood and Molyneux are both 'grounds in the Championship'. Whyifankyou.

Bruce, when did we play at Norwich in a cup? If we did, I missed it and we did six, not five, second-tier visits during our top-flight spell.

Not my fault that Brummies cannot spell
!
DSB, are we talking teams that were second tier when we went there?
Are Walsall one? We seemed to go there every fecking year and they were second tier for a bit. Donnie were when we went I think.

Yeah, second-tier when we were top-tier (this last spell, couldn't be arsed checking the 90s cameos)Prufrock wrote:DSB, are we talking teams that were second tier when we went there?

My research – somewhat rushed, possibly wrong – turned up nary a Walsall nor a Donny (or for that matter a Norridge)

Re: Football Supporters's Federation Policing/Stewarding Sur
Ding! In that case you've got three of the last four (in reverse chronology: Millwall, ?????, Watford, Ipswich).
The missing one's obvious, but the first one's so obtuse that I might as well give it now: Stockport in 2001/02. Yep, they went from tier two to non-league in a decade, with four bottom-placed relegations and even time for a play-off promotion in 2008. Shows how far they've come...

Re: Football Supporters's Federation Policing/Stewarding Sur
Burnley last year? And I was going to guess Stockport but went with Walsall instead
