Watched 'Chopper' last night. An Australian version of Bronson - only more violent. Not bad at all.

Watched The Disappearance of Alice Creed last night. Not brilliant but certainly worth watching. Have to say, General, your man Marsan's crept up in my estimation given his performances in the last two I've seen him in.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Last night watched a, to me, fascinating programme about Paul Simon & the making of his Graceland's album.
Love the album, but the story around it is amazing, especially the prickish anti-apartide wnkrs who gave him shit for introducing the SAfrican music to the World.
Oliver Tambo's tosspot son especially & the way even today Simon has to bite his tongue when really he wants to call him a hypocritical, self-serving git.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Strongly recommend Sky Arts conversation In Confidence, this week with the endlessly fascinating Brian Blessed - much more than the (frequently self-perpetuated) cartoon many think he is.

Sorry.

On the last episode now..prefer the first series.jimbo wrote:Brilliant. Keep meaning to invest in the box set. Loved the seriesAnnoyed Grunt wrote:Watching the episodes of Sherlock that have been on my planner since the New Year.
Re: What are you watching tonight?
Both have their merits. The second series seemed to be so far above anything that was on television at the time so I guess maybe I enjoyed that more. Either way, still an entertaining watch.Annoyed Grunt wrote:On the last episode now..prefer the first series.jimbo wrote:Brilliant. Keep meaning to invest in the box set.
