Been laid low by a severe bout of manflu the last few days. And instead of my running and stuff been trying to get back into badminton. Did about 15 miles on the bike and 2 hours of badminton yesterday

Feel absolutely dreadful today. Throat croaky, horrible cough, snotty, sneezy, basically all of the seven dwarves :( supposed to have singles' badminton cardio training on saturday but if this doesnt' clear I fear it may actually do me harm.

Hey ho!

Went out up around Rivi today just running till I was f*cked. Stopped for a bit on rivi park to do some sit-ups and what not. Was out in total for about an hour and a half. Fecking bollocksed but I feel really good. Not sure I will at work tomorrow though!

Did a 'Run the River 5 miler this morning down Tottenham Marshes. Flat as a pancake and managed 34.57.

Pleased.

Just got home and nearly burned down the house by getting locked out with the grill on.

Not pleased.

Had they had them in 100% jet black, Grunty, then that's exactly what I'd have bought. The only indoor footie boots/trainers that they had in in a 10 were those and some in white & orange. Why? :conf:

Tottenham? *Spit!

Well done on the run, not so well done on getting yourself locked out. Perhaps you need to wear your house key round your neck now you're getting that bit older and more forgetful? :conf:

I found as a middle of the road size 8 still only two pairs out of millions were black. What is wrong with people?

It's worth a thought.

No training tonight or tomorrow as I have (yet another) race on Wednesday. This is the culmination of our Midweek Race season where all the clubs from the two divisions meet at Trent Park for a 9km race. No points for this but a good chance to see who's coming into our division next season. There's also the end of season prizegiving.

Should be a good do. Personally I'm looking to better my last season's time of 40:56. I'm going to try for sub 40 if I can.

One of our V60 guys just ran two marathons, 3 weeks apart, in less than 3:50

I'd be proud of that.

A word of advice to people playing 5-a-side. If, like me, you're the kind of player that needs to 'go missing' for a minute every now and then, then DO NOT under any circumstances wear bright yellow and green boots. Blummin' hell fire!

It doesn't help that you're 6' 3" either.

I also had a bright orange bib on. My point being, Mr Rolly Eyes, that most of the guys that I play with don't look up enough to see that either. ;)
