What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Plus mixing carbs and fats

Not good

As expected, it was brilliant.

Watching a new HBO series that's aired on Sky Atlantic called The Newsroom, with Jeff Daniels. The first 5 minutes...woah.

Twenty-Twelve.

Excruciatingly hard to watch as it's so funny, yet you get the impression, so real.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It's being panned by critics for its political leaning.

I like it, but it's far from Sorkin's best work.

Anyone been watching Alan Partridge's Mid Morning Matters?

I'm sticking with it as there have been some real gems in there but it falls way short imo of Knowing me Knowing you and I'm Alan Partridge.

Am I the only one not to have seen The Exorcist? Was on offer at Morri's yesterday so I bought it (£5 Quid). Mate's wife and matey girl have already tried to ruin it for me, banging on about spinning heads and a crucifix :?

Take it back and buy the book for the same price or less.

Much, much better.

Or just watch it.. And possibly read it after, to see how they compare?

I've never gotten this "don't watch the film, just read the book" stuff.. Books = Days. Films = couple of hours.

The whole thing about the book is that it explains the story better. There are parts of the film that make no sense unless you know the book. I'm not being a snob. The book, in this case, is better.

 Really? I thought it was exclusive to Sky Atlantic and had only just come on TV

They were aired online I think. Atlantic might have them exclusive to TV?

Watching The Dark Knight now. Booked to see TDKR on Monday and working Friday, Saturday and Sunday so only chance to watch it is now. Can't wait til Monday.

Really wanted to watch it at the IMAX but the wait is ridiculous, so booked two VIP tickets in the xtreme screen at Vue Bury, which is pretty decent.

Funny you should say that, went out to see Friedkin's latest; Killer Joe tonight, it was superb!

reminded me a lot of Drive but weirder and with laughs - really dark, black comedic laughs but LOL's all the same - what more do you want!?

Kermode has made a bit of a hooha about the 'fried chicken' scene, but it didnt offend me one bit. Wasnt too keen on Hirsch in this tbh (after he was brilliant in Into the wild but McConaughey has really impressed me lately. The girl was great too, especially as it turns out shes English! A totally twisted, deep-fried Texas redneck trailer park murder story. Top film.
