It was a 3-3 draw at Swindon in the league cup.

And the best game I ever saw live is 8-1 win over Walsall. Fantasy football and even Ray Deakin got one

Guilty. I know I nearly had a heart attack in the final minutes of the Arsenal game when Ian Wright lobbed one that landed on top of the net. I blame those fxcking stanchions for my Everton mistake.

Everton away in cup replay 1994/95 won 3 2 after being 2 0 down. Same season Arsenal away cup replay won 3 1, stood on clock end shouting we want 4 !!!!! Happy memories.

The birmingham game will be overlooked cos of the spineless players, not coyle in my view. I'd of coped witha defeat, a defeat due to tactics, but the players bottled it that day.

Was a strange day that.. I never, for one minute believed we wouldn't win that game. It just had that feel about it.

West Brom at home, play offs second leg 2000/2001. We came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 in the first leg and then scored early doors at the Reebok. Knew from that point we'd go up. The final against Preston wasn't a bad one either.

The 5-2 Carling semi final first leg win against Villa was one of the most surreal, pretty much everything came off. Okocha scored two belters, Stelios got an overhead kick IIRC and even Angel scored for Villa from an impossible angle from the touchline.

Think my favourite is the 1-0 win over West Ham to stay up. THAT Okocha goal and just a real dogged performance that gave us the belief that we could stay up.

Reading Play-off final,without a shadow of a doubt.

First time at Wembley for me aged 12, with my uncle, had a large (fat) bloke in front of me, so had to change seats as I couldn't see round his chicken wings.

I remember fondly, when the ref award them a penalty at 2-0 down, I stood up when everyone was silent and shouted the "Referees a wanker" don't actually know where that came from (as Im very middle class!!), but was a good point well made, a few people didn't expect it to be coming from a 12 year old lad when they turned round, my uncle dragged me back on my seat pretty sharpish.

Great time, that will never be beaten for me for me.

The reading play off always sticks out because it was a great day. I remember seeing loads of people I knew and it was a great atmosphere. The the game had a bit of everything.
I really enjoyed Villa away last season. The first half was bad but the second half more than made up for it, because at the time, they were in freefall and we had a puncher's chance. The turn around after those two quick goals was unbelievable and I thought the atmosphere was fantastic. (I even met lads who had come up from London to support the wanderers). Afterwards the Villa fans were convinced they were going down and calling McLeish all sorts and me and my pals genuinely thought we'd do it.

V Leicester 2-2 for sheer emotional swing

V Guimaraes simply because I was hammered (Thank you Rangers fans for the pint of vodka and coke) and the equaliser turned around what threatened to be a massive anti climax

V Arsenal away circa 99 ish, Ricketts with an equaliser when we were down to ten men.

V Wrexham away - last match of the season and Robbie Savage scores to send us up.

V Hull away - a night to end all nights

if we’re going for the experience rather than the actual game then things change a bit, some of the best experiences have been when we have travelled and not even made it to the game! And there were loads of stop-over trips that turned into quality weekends despite the game, Southampton stands out, and Newcastle and Norwich weirdly. The Wembley trips, minus the last one, Cardiff trips. The European trips will never be topped tho, my favourites were in this order; Guimares, Munich, Belgrade, Marsielle, Plovdiv, Lisbon then Madrid. Having said that the Muamba mosaic game was pretty special too. The best live game tho was definitely away at Leicester when we won 5-0.

Division 4 Exeter (a) - I think it was 1-1 but the whole day was great from start to finish. Wrexham twice, once in the FA Cup when we eeked through to the 3rd round for the first time in about 70 years.

John Thomas (one of all time favourite Wanderers) scored twice, the winner right in front of the massed Wanderers fans.

Obviously the Robbie Savage promotion clincher.

The 2-1 at Old Trafford. We were in the North Stand and when it went 2-1 about half the crowd leapt up. With about 15 mins left it was all Bolton.

Pre-Euros I was trying to think of how many 'great' or at least 'enjoyable' England games I've seen in my life since my first World Cup in 1978.

The 4-1 desctruction of Holland, the 1-0 Belgium (Platt) was quite end-to-end, the 1-1 v Holland (Pearce in/direct free kick 'winner'). Took us about 40 minutes of rolling around the carpet of The Stocks before we realised the ref had (rightly) disallowed it, the one where Lineker scored, Gascoigne v Scotland and erm...the 2-1 France (Robson from the k.o.) Even the Hand of God game was pretty dire until the last 5 minutes.

Out of that lot we've probably out-played 3 of those teams.

Greenwood, Robson, Turnip Taylor, El Veg, Glenda, Mr Personality, Kevin Keegle, S**n (surely the M****n of all England managers), The Wally with the Brolly, Fabio, and the current floater in the cystern.

Plus we've had whatisface and Pearce as caretakers haven't we.

In fact looking at that list I'm surprised we've ever played decent football.
