Today I'm angry about.....

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

The frailties of life.

I lost to the Grim Reaper yesterday a good friend. If my reckoning is correct then my circle of mates has now been reduced to a triangle. He was a mate in the true sense of the word; when I was struggling financially for a while he helped me out by allowing me to assist him in his repair business (I earned it, believe you me!). Later, when he was in the doldrums, I reciprocated and he'd come and stay at my place for a few days and help me in my work.

It's a sad, sad day today. :(

Dujon, sorry to hear about your sad loss. Not trying to sound twee, but true friends and parents and the like are always with you, even though the sadness of loss is acute.

Commiserations mate. Words don't help much at times like this but I've seen a few good mates pass on this last decade so I know how you must feel. Thoughts with you.

I'm afraid we have reached that age, Dujon, where we lose friends, relatives and colleagues with increasing regularity. My brother-in-law died in May and a long time work colleague of cancer a month earlier (only 57) and two more have been so diagnosed. Nothing we can do but remember the good times and help the survivors.

Ladies what lunch.

Specifically the one's that are currently "lunching" in my back garden along with the in-laws seemingly getting merrily pissed whilst I'm working.

At a fairly recent meeting,
Without smile or civil greeting,
Worthy's boss asked him what is
Or are his work priorities.
The first - as one can clearly see -
To make sure that he got his tea,
Which having got to make it last
From quarter to to, say, half past,
So he has time to just complain
About his in-laws once again.

 I remember "tea breaks" from when I was a young un. Nowadays we hardly get holiday breaks when we're on holiday.

Thanks to those of you who responded to my earlier post. I'm not quite sure why I put it up here - I wasn't looking for sympathy, just expressing my feelings of the moment I suppose. Ta muchly for your comments anyway.

Indeed - agree with this.

If anyone can explain to me why this astoundingly dumb notion has bubbled onto the statute books, I'd be delighted.

What this actually does is mean you either a) get them all the time or b) never clear your browser cache, coz if you do you get them every time.

Just give me one option to accept all cookies please.

The signs in Wales. Having everything twice, once in Welsh and then again in English. Some of them are as big as a house to fit it all on and you can never read everything in time as you drive past.
Either have two separate signs, perhaps colour coded so you can tell them apart instantly or just pick one or other of them and stick with it.

Having the signs in Welsh at all! Correct me if I'm wrong, but less than 10% of the population even speak the language.

The authorities will, falsely, claim it's 20%. Real calculations show it to be a little under 5%.

At bank cash points the first thing you see is a "do you want the transaction to be carried out in Englis" and also some shite which includes the word "Cymraeg" ... I assume it's asking if you want it in Welsh. On a recent, initially secret, review of the use of these ... even in Welsh language first areas ... it showed transactions to be around 0.2%.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".
