I can honestly say in the 25 years that I played cricket, I can't recall one treacle sponge and custard during the game.

This is indeed correct. But proportionally, they seem to lead the medal table by some distance.

How many Olympians are we talking about though? Plenty, plenty footballers who lead model lifestyles, work hard, do their best. Course there are dickheads who don't. Like there are Olympians up for stabbing folk, or who have been banned for drugs etc, etc. I have no idea what the amount footballers are paid has to do with anything, once we are comparing professional to professional.
