Well, when you say "in", you don't really mean "in", do you? They've made a bid, we've told them to go away and be serious. It remains to be seen whether they'll come back, but as of right this second, Ngog isn't going anywhere.Salford Trotter wrote:Nicko tweets that Fulham are in for Ngog
In other news, Nixon also tweets that our "perfect midfielder" "wants to sign" for us.

The perfect midfielder is probably Romeu, isn't it?

hmm, coyle with £4million ?
he'll just buy three burnley players and drop lee or something to fit them in.
i'd keep misfit davide and hope he comes good. so he only got three last year - he had teamcoyle telling him what to do...

To explain....When I say "in" I presumed everyone was familiar with the common football terminology that is used when a club make a bid or expresses a serious interest in a player of another club. As you say though it is also common in football that the said club rejects the derisory initial offer and waits for an improved offer. I hope that's clear enough

The Oracle suggesting that it's a 'big day' in terms of getting the midfield sitter. Suggests from other 'twits' are that it's back on for Sanchez with far more realistic terms.

No offence to you TKIZ. Appreciate the info being posted here. But I really hoped we'd moved on, from Sanchez who clearly doesn't really want to sign here.
Coyle clearly doesn't have it in him to pick out more than one hard man each window....

It often takes patience to reel a big fish in. And Sanchez seems to be a big fish in our pool. Fair play to OC if he lands his man after all this time. I know nothing about the man so I hope the effort is worthwhile.

Such a big fish that as a free agent for the whole summer he's still not signed, and as of 3 months ago, I'm willing to bet that no fecker on here had ever heard of him.clapton is god wrote:It often takes patience to reel a big fish in. This transfer has been '100% dead' at least three times. Just think we are in a position where if someone takes three months, pisses around, goes on two holidays to make his mind up, asks for silly money, that we can say, no thanks.
He may be a good player, though I have absolutely no idea, but I worry what problems he could cause.......

I know this deal with Sanchez has been on/off but personally I haven't seen any other Defensive Midfielder worth our attention or in our price range

Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
seems to me that Coyle/The Club is trying to get a good deal for precisely the kind of player we all think we want - and BWFCi is cross about it.

It seems to me we may have no plan B!
first game next week and we'll get killed in the middle if park with or without Davies. We shall see if he sorts it.

Not cross just bored with chasing the same player for months on end.thebish wrote:seems to me that Coyle/The Club is trying to get a good deal for precisely the kind of player we all think we want - and BWFCi is cross about it.
And I'm not qualified to say whether Sanchez is what we need? Ive not seen him.....

Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
Nixon said it was an agent problem though right? If the deal keeps coming up again and again then the player must have some desire to play for us. I really hope we do end up signing him because he seems like a damn good player for the level we're at.
