I can tell you it was Easter Saturday 17th April as I was getting married on that day and the first words my then wife to be said to me at the altar were " don't worry they are already 2 - 0 up " !!! :D
Yes, it was Easter weekend as we were up from Birmingham visiting my Nanna (Grandmother) in Leigh; which we did every Easter.

That is a good women you married there! Just think by the time you were posing for the Wedding photos we were probably 4-0 up by then.

We since you missed that match, at least you can see the highlights on the youtube video I posted

After the Umbro shirts of 1977-1980 I don't think a shirt was available for fans to buy until around the time of the last Normid 1st reebok shirts (1988 ish)

If anyone has a shirt with 'Knight Security'or 'BEN' on it, it could be worth quite a bit :)

Jeff Chandler gave a 'TSB' shirt to one of my mates, years and years and years ago. I'll ask him if he still has it?!

Been after one of the umbro ones for ages. Saw one online, but it was a kids one and the fella wanted £100 sheets for it because it's "collectable". I wanna wear it you prick, not frame it

When/if you find an adult Umbro shirt (Vintagefootballshirts.com had an Adult Medium size 1977 Umbro home shirt - until I bought it last week), it is likely you will have to pay that amount for it; and even if you do why would you frame it? Of course you would wear it! And be proud.

I dont think Umbro would be happy !
I meant an Adidas one, plain track top with 3 stripes and the bolton badge!
Don't think we'll ever see the Umbro one. Can you even buy the 70's kit with the umbro badges down the sleeve?
I got a copy 70's shirt off ebay a few years ago, admitidly it wasnt the exact ones from the 70's, but I thought it was good enough for me for the price, as I recall it was approx £20 - £30, problem was I got an email a few weeks later saying the person had been removed for selling dodgy copies, to be fair they where from China, but it was good quality.

OK so I have now had a response from the badge manufacturer to my email about having some 70's BWFC badges made.

I sent them this design :

Image

with the intension of making-up some mid 70's Bukta/Admiral shirt for myself that hopfully will look like this when completed :

&
Image

And asked for the prices of 10 X 4" diameter embroided cloth badges with Iron-on backing. And this is the reply :

" Many thanks for your enquiry.

We have a set up (digitisation) charge of £25 + vat. The cost of your badge for 10 would be £8.99 + vat per badge, this includes iron on backing. However if you were to order 11-30 badges the cost would drop significantly to £5.89 + vat per badge
. "

So by my calculations in order to get the cheaper price of £5.89 and ordering just 11 to get that price the total for 11 badges would be (11 x 5.89 + 25) = 89.79 + VAT (20%) = 17.96 > £107.75 for 11, working out at ~£9.80 per badge.

Now I don't need 11 badges, so my question hear is does anyone want one of these badges for themselves, with the price of a 20p stamp for P+P I would sell them for £10 a badge delivered.

Anyone interested before I place the order???

Andrew

Not too sure what you mean there. If you wish you can get some felt-tip pen and draw an elephant on the badge.

Get reading the various kit threads. Essentially, we believe that any club badge requires an elephant

Every kit we had in the 80's was available to buy from the club shop. Not sure whether they had the sponsors logo on them though.

Unless my memory is playing tricks on me I dont recall ever seeing anyone wearing Wanderers shirts from the era 1983 to 1987ish and certainly none with Knight Security, BEN, TSB.

I remember wearing some fake effort one of the local sports shops did in 1984 as a result of The Happy Shop (with the worst staff in the enitre feckin world) stocking nowt other than silk scarves and bob hats
