International Membership
Hey everyone, I'm a Bolton fan living in Australia and would like to become a Bolton Member. It's hard looking through the website but does the club have international memberships?. Thankyou.

Mate, we have a lot of international Bolton fans on here. Go to the New Members Forum and tell us your life story (well, those pertinent to BWFC)
As far as being a Bolton member? Try the bwfc.co.uk website and become a lifeline member. You may even win some money. Although I never have

Bolton Cozi's been on here fr'ages, GtE. From the OP I presume (s)he's scoured the (dreadful) official site and has come up with nothing. (I couldn't find anything when I tried just now, other than the results of the Lifeline lottery.)Gary the Enfield wrote: Mate, we have a lot of international Bolton fans on here. Re: International Membership
Same as last season I believe, attend 5 matches and you automatically become a member, which then entitles you to a free match ticket for another one. I think they did this to stop people paying £25 membership, which gave a discount for tickets, and never attending a match but gave an entitlement for Cup finals etc.

Re: International Membership
The Club membership thing is free.
Unfortunately, you need to have purchased 3 match day tickets to be enrolled in it.

Re: International Membership
Thanks everyone. Here in Australia, the main sport is Aussie Rules which is run by the Australian Football League (AFL) and clubs here have 'armchair' memberships for country, interstate and international fans. Just thought English Football clubs would have the same thing, but it appears like it doesn't.
Could be a suggestion that I make to the club, I just want to be a member rather than a fan/supporter as you feel more connected with the club. I've supported the Bolton Wanderers since 2005 and just want to be an international member of the club. I love the club, even after relegation and hope to one day go to a match at the Reebok - when I get the funds of course. It's a dream of mine to watch Bolton play live at the Reebok.

Yer, been a member here since 2006 - I rarely post - mostly just a reader. Joined when I was an 18 year old, now I'm 24. I work at a large bottle shop over here and I talk to many English x-pats that come into the store about the Football, and they think that a 'young' female in Australia that has no connection to England that supports Bolton is an outlier. Most of my mates here support ManU, City, Liverpool and Chelsea. I love supporting the Wanderers, as I can make the team my ownLittle Green Man wrote:Bolton Cozi's been on here fr'ages, GtE. Yep, I know the feeling. I'm a 25 year old whites fan who has supported them my whole life. My grandparents emigrated from Bolton a long time ago, so that's where my allegiance comes from. I lived in Manchester all 2010 and went to pretty much every home game and a few away mataches when I was there (what a season to be part of, by the way). Had the pleasure of meeting quite a few peeps from this site. Now that I'm back in 'sunny' Melbourne, I'd love to know if there's some sort of membership I could obtain.Bolton Cozi wrote:Yer, been a member here since 2006 - I rarely post - mostly just a reader. Re: International Membership
I think we've all suffered from being a fan of a 'smaller club' but just how easy would it be to just fall in line and support the more successful teams and lounge in their glory. For me, I live just 3 miles from Old Trafford and I was brought up for the first 15 years of my life as a Man U fan but eventually I saw the 'light' and i've been a Wanderer for the following 34 years. I still get lots of grief for switching allegiances but I can honestly say I've no regrets and never will. Keep the faith Cozi!!Bolton Cozi wrote:Yer, been a member here since 2006 - I rarely post - mostly just a reader. Joined when I was an 18 year old, now I'm 24. Re: International Membership
Been a Wanderer all my life. Moved to the states when I was 2. 33 years later people know more about the sport here, but still know nothing about the Whites and they usually support the big teams.
It used to be hell to follow the team. Basically through phone calls and newspaper clippings from the BEN. Been spoiled these past 10 years as I have probably had more access to the Wanderers on TV than Bolton based fans. Now though, the Championship doesnt seem to have a contract here in the US.
BWFC have always been small minded when it comes to the US. Even their tours have been poorly organized efforts and made no real attempt at garnering fans. I have always wanted to join my club as well, but there just isnt an easy way that I have found. And if there is a way, it is typical that those who most want it cant find it.
Then they want me to pay 30.00 USD for shipping merchandise, so short sited.

Re: International Membership
Hi
Does anyone know of any BWFC supporters associations in Brisbane, Australia? Or any pubs/bars that show the matches?
Thanks
