Re: The League Cup
Ta. I'd pay four times that to watch Gregg Wylde, Andy Lonergan and D-Pratz troop disconsolately off.Verbal wrote:According to their website matchday tickets for this season are £22 for adults, though maybe that's just league and it will be different pricing for the cup.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Crawlionians - any idea roughly how muchish a ticket is expected to be?

Is the going rate for a third division match now?? No wonder gates are shit. I think there may be a bit of London(-commuter-belt) weighting going on there.boltonboris wrote:Is the going rate for a third division match now?? No wonder gates are shit. But I seem to recall a few years ago - actually it might be a decade - there was some kerfuffle when it was realised that it was cheaper to watch Bayern Munich than a non-league side, and I believe said underworlders were Crawley. Apologies if I've got that wrong.
EDIT very quick spot of research shows that it'll cost you at least £19 to watch Oldham in the same division, so yeah - football's overpriced.

Re: The League Cup
That's a slightly misleading price you've quoted there.Verbal wrote:According to their website matchday tickets for this season are £22 for adults, though maybe that's just league and it will be different pricing for the cup.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Crawlionians - any idea roughly how muchish a ticket is expected to be?
League prices as per link - http://www.crawleytownfc.com/tickets/ticket-prices/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
For this match I would expect a slight premium but nothing too excessive, so maybe (for adults) -
East Stand (you won't be allocated seats in the main stand) - £22
Terrace - £20
It was higher for our home FA Cup match against Bristol City but that was a Saturday and the FA Cup. Depends how much demand the club see there being.
The East Stand although "new" is actually an old open golf stand I believe with a roof. You will have your own bar though, although away supporters are welcome before the match in our club bar. (REDZ - behind South Terrace)
As Steve Leake states, you'll get a warm welcome but with the usual match banter.

Re: The League Cup
Sorry for that - for some reason my brain didn't compute that that was the most expensive option :S apols. Goes down to 19 and 17 quid for other areas of the stadium.
thanks for the help crawleyfan!

Re: The League Cup
The Bayern fans we spoke to said it was 10e (less than a tenner!!) to watch them in a league game in the lower tier terracing. That was obviously in 2007. But, you know, still.... f*ck me football's overpriced here.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I think there may be a bit of London(-commuter-belt) weighting going on there.boltonboris wrote:Is the going rate for a third division match now?? You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Will have gone up a bit I presume as I paid 10E at Union Berlin (Bundesliga 2) last month to watch Hibs in a friendly, but still a ridiculous difference!Lord Kangana wrote:The Bayern fans we spoke to said it was 10e (less than a tenner!!) to watch them in a league game in the lower tier terracing. Oddly, Forest vs Wigan is one of the TV games by the way so that's at least one of our chances out of the window of being on telly, not sure how many others get picked.

Re: The League Cup
Think so, family logistics permitting. Meet at Victoria, mayhap? Although if train tickets are an ass-whupping I might be tempted to bob round the M25 and meet near t'ground.Verbal wrote:Lovely stuff.

Re: The League Cup
Looks like about 15-20 quid return on train (booking in advance) so nay too bad. Victoria sounds like a shout, practically a stroll from the office for me*

Cheers. Still a bit of an eye-waterer, that, on top of food & in – but I'll have a ponder.

On the basis of ground bagging for an opportunity not that likely to reoccur, this one is actually tempting me...

Re: The League Cup
You may already be aware, but in case you're not the club have priced this sensibly - and slightly cheaper than for a league game. Hope for a 5000+ crowd now.
