Is Purple Aki inside or out? That'd stop the feckers spending too much time near the hair gel and he's a big fcuker.officer_dibble wrote:You are right but it just seems unrealistic to me - if liverpool dont want him they'll want to sell and he'll want premoership footie like he got last year. try and then move on.boltonboris wrote:So you're criticising Coyle now for actually trying for a Defensive Midfielder with decent Premier League experience???
Come on now..
I agree the guy's a numpty, but this could be a good move if we pull it off and if you don't ask, you don't get.
its like you say - we just need a big black lad who runs around and kicks lumps out of people...cant be too hard to find! Coyle seems to.only know about young (overpriced) english, yanks, or players he's managed! Get a scouting network man!

Well he would certainly chase balls all day but not the one that really matters.Worthy4England wrote:Is Purple Aki inside or out? If Stoke grab Huddlestone on loan then they won't be needing Palacios...

More ball-user than ball-winner. Quality player (didn't Megson try to sign him?) but not what we need at the mo.m_taylor wrote:http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... uddlestone

Yeah. Megson had a pop. He'd get hounded out for being a fat bastard anyway.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

IDEAL for the holding role in a 4-5-1/4-3-3.
I can't see him working out great in a 4-4-2 though.

This is why we are losing... players are too focused on their hair.... short back and sides or all off is the only way to get the players playing again!Worthy4England wrote:We have Eagles and Mears....Tals-biggest-fan wrote:If he gets rid of that stupid hair he's sporting nowadays then sure come on in!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
I agree that he'd work best in a three-man midfield - most players do. I'm intrigued that you think what we need in a four-man midfield is someone for whom passing is miles down the list - this mythical Big Bastard. In a five you can be a specialist (destroyer or creator); in a four you have to have more to your game. If we do sign Mr BigCan'tKickNothinButPeople, then our only passing option is to give it to Andrews or hand over creative duties to a Mr Z. Knight...BWFC_Insane wrote:Megson and Allardyce tried to sign him I think.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:More ball-user than ball-winner. Wouldn't want Huddlestone. Good player doing the defensive duties but offers no improvement going forward for us which is what we need. Would be another Reo-Coker style signing. Doubt we could sign any better but i've not liked him for quite some time and his stamp on Elmander didn't exactly change my mind.

Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
My issue with Huddlestone is not passing or tackling or anything, it's that say on Saturday when Burnley are buzzing all round us. Huddlestone is just not quite energetic enough for a four to combat that. Great as a sitter. In a four you really need players who can cover ground ala Holden, IMO.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I agree that he'd work best in a three-man midfield - most players do. Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
We got no chance of getting huddlestone IMO he is one of the best passers of the ball there is and he also reads the game well and he does get stuck in
But he is really slow Davo looks like Usain Bolt in comparison
I would take him in a heart beat but there will be alot of bigger clubs after him than us
AVB has't got a clue what he's doing

Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
Huddlestone is in no way a target, we've no chance now we're not in the top flight. We didn't have a good chance when we WERE in the top flight.
AVB knows what he's doing, but he's being asked to sell to buy so he's doing what Redknapp rarely did: tidying up and making money through sales of players who don't fit.

AVB will be gone by the end of the season shocking manager
Did't he take his coaching badges in the same place same time with Coyle
That's enough to convince me he's shit
